> 3 dayI bought this cable to run in wall for some older high end Wilson speakers. They had been wired with very high end cable, but alas, I needed to run cables in wall to clean things up and I found this cable. I lost some transparency with the switch in cable, but just a little. This is a 10 gauge copper cable, so it should do a good job, and it does. Happy I found it.

> 3 dayGood quality stranded copper speaker cables. It worked well with the locking banana plugs that have set screw to hold the stranded wire and a set screw to hold the insulation. I tinned the stranded ends but It really was not needed. The cost of the speaker cable was worth it considering I was connecting $4,000 speakers to a $2400 amplifier.

Greater than one weekI was looking for 10 gauge copper wire and much of what I found was reviews saying the vendor shorted the length or they wire had an aluminum center. Since the electrons flow on the surface a wanted a heavier gauge for the r50 foot run. I also wanted a cable that was all copper so that oxidation didnt occur. This wire was a perfect fit. Easy and flexible to work with as well.

Red shiny oxygen-free copper never changed color after 5 years when exposed to air. Second time buying this brand for home theater speakers, works great! Cost more than other brands.

> 3 dayI had to unplug all the speaker connections to have my receiver repaired (I repaired my self since Yamaha had the service centers closed due to covid-19). I was not going to ship my 2k dollar receiver from Hawaii to Texas. No way. Having a background on electronic repairs I repaired my receiver myself. What I love the most about this wire was the fact that other than some dust on it. It’s practically brand new looking. I could just wash it and literally sell it as brand new. Wow. I did my speaker installation years ago. Great material and workmanship and is so flexible its just a big YES for me. I will recommend it and buy it again if I need more.

You can pay tons more (confess Ive made that mistake) but you will not get anything that sounds better, and has the flexibility for ease of installation. I challenge any audio snob to produce an objective test that shows a better sounding product for home stereo speaker cable. This is true 10 gauge OFC stranded copper. The insulation is flexible, and is easy to strip for custom lengths. Just buy this stuff you cannot go wrong.
Plain and Simple Specifications
- Wire type - CCA or OFC
These materials are commonly used, but not commonly stated when shopping online. Know what you are purchasing. Both metals are capable of performing up to their rated loads.
- American Wire Gauge
Wire gauge is crucial to powering your system correctly. Undersized cable will create unsafe conditions and may shorten your amplifier"s life.
True American Wire Gauge (AWG) Products
- Using American Wire Gauge standards, the gauge of stranded wire is determined by the total area of the conductor.
- To calculate this you would take the area of each strand and add it together. This area, in square mm, then determines gauge.
- Speaker Wire is often written as 10-2 or 10/2. This means 10 gauge x 2 conductor, both positive and negative signal are carried within one cable and are each 10 gauge.
- Diameter is not as critical with stranded wire, this is due to the tiny air gaps between each strand. Diameter may fluctuate with strand size and how tightly wound the rope of the cable is.
- The smaller the number, the larger the wire, until you reach zero or aught (0). Most speaker wire ranges from 10 to 16 gauge. 18 to 22 gauge is often much too thin for most Home Theater applications.
- Based on AWG, the true gauge of this cable is 10 Gauge
