Kobo Libra H2O, Black (Renewed)

The delivery is very fast to Taiwan within one week, the product is new as a brand new one, so far I love using it! Hope it will help me picking up the habit of reading.;)

This replaced my previous Libra One, which I purchased new. Cosmetically and functionally I could not tell that this refurb wasn’t brand new. Holds a charge as well as my previous one did but YMMV. As with any ebook, be careful with how you charge it. I thought most any micro USB would be fine and so during a visit I used one meant for my mom’s hearing aids. I thought it would provide a gentle charge but it freaked out my old Libra beyond repair. This refurb Libra One was the replacement and has worked very well for 2+ months now. I also bought a wall plug (no Libra comes with a plug) that charges at the same rate as the more expensive OEM Rakuten Kobo plug: DC 5V, 2A.

I bought this Kobo Libra to use in place of my Kobo Clara which is several years old. The Libra offers landscape viewing which I prefer since the Clara is so much smaller and does not offer landscape viewing. In addition, I had to frequently reboot my Clara because at least 1 - 2 time per day it would freeze. The Libra I bought was reconditioned yet claims made by the seller indicated it operated perfectly. Not the case! Ive had it a week and already the screen is freezing up at least once per day. Does anyone else have this problem with their Kobo? There are other ereaders out there that have desirable features but cost much more so Im reluctant to spend the money. I have a couple of Kindles which I love because the screens never freeze so Ive never had to reboot. However, for me, the Kindle doesnt offer the same download options as the Kobo with its support of epub and pdf files.

This is my new favorite ereader. The buttons and shape make reading comfortable and convenient - no more fingerprints on the screen. The screen and backlight look fantastic, and it has far more storage than Ill ever need. Only con is that its just too big for a jacket pocket.
