NOTHING is more frustrating that not being able to get air at a gas station, am I right? In the olden days (remember those?) you could get air in your tires and a measurement for FREE at every gas station. No more. So being more self sufficient is a goal of most every motorcycle rider I know. And you can even use it to blow up the mattress at your campsite, too. Well, Im gonna try that next trip. Getting what we need and getting it in a smaller, effective format is the goal, and this tool fills the bill. I like that it can also blow up basketballs (youd have to be really old to know thats what air is for!). It weighs a couple pounds, but for peace of mind, Im taking it along on my trips. Its not that noisy, either, which I like. The light is nice so you can find the dinged nozzle on your tires, but kinda weak for distance/distress when its in SOS mode (and not that many people know SOS in Morse code any more, do they?

The Kombella portable air compressor comes with a detachable (screw-on) hose, accessories providing air to bicycle tires/basketballs/air mattresses, usb-c charging cable, a velvet-like bag for storage, and instructions. The unit is nicely finished in a flat black aluminum body with the top portion in a shiny black plastic finish, that could be easily scratched. The screw-on hose has a brass fitting that screws on to the brass threads on the compressor unit. The hose is kind of short, so unless the tire valve is positioned closer to the ground, the unit had to be held while it was operating. The unit as a whole is solid and well-made. The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery, its charged using the included usb-c cable and a power adapter (not included). Unit was charged overnight and indicator on the display showed a full charge. Attaching the hose to the tire valve, and turning on the unit, the units display indicated the tires pressure. Toggling the top button three times, allows setting the required tire pressure needed in PSI. Pressing the center button starts the unit and it will automatically stop at the selected pressure setting when reached. Comparing the Kombella to my portable go-to air compressor, the Ryobi P747 18V, the Ryobi was faster - took one minute and six seconds to fill five pounds of air into an SUV tire (size 235-60R-18). The Kombella took two minutes and forty-five seconds to do the same. The Kombella was half as loud and was five times smaller in size than the Ryobi. The Kombella accuracy for measuring the air pressure was similar to the Ryobis and a separate air gauge that I used. After use, the Kombellas hose was slightly warm to the touch, but the units body remained the same. The built-in flashlight was adequate to light up the tire, but not bright enough for area/distance lighting purposes. The battery indicator light was still at full charge after pumping 15 lbs. of air. I find the Kombella to be a handy portable compressor to keep in my glove box and useful for adding air to my tires when needed. Rated 5-stars.
