I knew they were small but boy are they small. I thought the cables for installation came with but I was wrong. I do have the cables needed so I’ll still be able to get the project done. I tested them all prior to using them because it’s something I do with any just received lights. It’s just easier now instead of finding a non working one later. I’m happy with the quality of them and would purchase them again. Four Stars!!!

I’ve used these for science activities in my classroom. They work perfectly in paper circuits and etextile projects.

These will come attached but are very easy to break apart. Nice small design with good size pads for easy soldering. These have a built in 150 Ohm resistor (R) so they can be connected directly to a voltage supply.

These are a good bargain LED to use with conductive thread like that in LilyPad kits. These are not as good as the Lilypad LEDs, but they work well enough. I tend to use a couple extra loops of thread through the holes on these LEDs before continuing the circuit stitching to ensure a good connection to the conductive area and not have any problem lights. I also test each light before using it in a project to avoid headaches.

I like these. Theyre small and easy to incorporate into all kinds of projects. They are clearly labeled with the appropriate color on the back, since they all look the same when not powered on. All of the colors (my set included red, green, blue, white, and yellow) are bright even at lower voltages. Unfortunately they dont come with any data or documentation, but after a little searching it looks like these are 5v components (although I tested at 3.3v and theyre still bright at that voltage).

Ive recently gotten back into electronics. After many years, things sure have changed. I have really gotten into the Arduino because it can do so much. I am also new to lilypad, but love all the things you can do with them. Since the wife is into sewing and crafts, I am sure she will enjoy working with these.

I bought these to add to a LilyPad kit I purchased. They work great and are a decent price compared to others I looked at. My daughters and I used them to make light up masks.

Having these extra colors (and I also ordered extra thread) means I can go further on one costume or make one color lighting string on the costume. Its really cool seeing something I made light up!

LilyPad LEDs for arduino or raspberry pi

This is a simple pack of five Red/Yellow/White/Blue/Green LilyPad LEDs that are still attached to one another, letting you snap the LEDs apart at your leisure to sew into clothing or whatever else you can dream up.

Sewable electronics combine traditional craft processes (sewing, fashion design, and textile design) with electrical engineering, computer science, and hardware skills.

More effective conductive contact area

Compared to original lilypad LEDs,the effective conductive contact area in lilypad LEDs has double.

Each LilyPad piece was creatively designed with large sew tabs to allow them to be sewn into fabric. Various input, output, power and sensor boards are available.

Tiny sewable electronic pieces for e-textile projects

The LilyPad system is a set of sewable electronic pieces designed to help you build soft, sewable, interactive e-textile projects. Using LilyPad pieces is a great way to experiment with electronics through the lens of crafting. Each LilyPad piece has large conductive sew tabs for easy sewing and a rounded shape so as not to snag fabric or cut thread.

With sewable electronics, you can create e-textiles (electronic textiles), which are often wearable, flexible projects that look less like traditional electronics and more like craft and art projects. Many e-textile projects replace wiring with flexible conductive materials such as conductive thread and fabric. For the projects in this guide, we will be sewing circuits together with conductive thread.
