I use these bad boys in my garage door openers! They provide excellent bright light for easy viewing which is valuable in the garage. I added 100w equivalent Bulbs in the garage for the light switch bulbs for even brighter light needs for long-term time in the garage! Reliable so far!

The bulbs burn out in a matter of months- like 4 -5 months- not 9 years as claimed on packaging, based on average use of 3 hours a day.
