Truth be told
09-04-2025I am used to using my larger paint sprayer for projects but it requires cleaning after use which takes time. I plan to use this one for smaller projects so that I can clean it quickly. As a fellow DIY enthusiast, I recently got my hands on the KOVDON Paint Sprayer and wanted to share my initial thoughts. Although I havent used it for painting just yet, I gotta say, it looks and feels like it means business! The packaging was well-organized, and the instructions were clear and easy to understand. When I held the sprayer, I could immediately tell it was built tough. While I havent given the KOVDON Paint Sprayer a proper spin, I have a good feeling about it. It feels like it can handle different surfaces and projects. Im excited to see how itll deliver a smooth and professional finish when I finally get down to painting.

> 3 dayThis sprayer does a great job! I have plans to use it much more through the summer months painting our garage. At just $40.00 it has features of much more expensive sprayers.

> 3 dayI had been awaiting the sprayer, as I had 4 doors to paint. The instructions were easy to follow. As soon as I got it I started painting, and I was very pleased as to the uniformity of the spray pattern. Money well spent!

> 3 dayNote: I am not a professional painter, nor have I ever used a paint sprayer before; Im just a generally handy person with a fair amount of power tool experience. I recently built some trellises for climbing flowers on our porch, and wanted to paint them to match. The idea of brushing dozens of tiny surfaces by hand didnt appeal to me, and neither did the cost of spray paint cans. Instead, I decided on this sprayer, and Im so glad I did! Setup was simple: pour paint into the paint pot, attach the straw to the pot lid (taking care to choose the correct orientation, as explained in the manual: towards the front of the sprayer/pot if mostly painting things lower than the sprayer, or towards the back if painting things higher than the sprayer), screw the pot onto the lid, plug er in, and go. There are several additional spray nozzles of various sizes included, and a guide in the manual to help you choose the ideal nozzle for your application. The sprayer does come with a special funnel thats meant to be used to test the viscosity of your paint (by filling the funnel, and timing how long it takes to empty). I didnt do any of that, wanting to get right to painting. I did notice the paint was a little splattery at first, but once the paint had warmed up a bit (it had come from my 55°F basement, and I was painting out in the 75° sun), the spatters turned into a perfect spray. I appreciated the ability to adjust the flow of paint by means of a convenient thumbscrew, matching it to the speed I felt comfortable moving the sprayer around. Changing the spray pattern is very easy as well - loosing the retaining ring on front, turn the nozzle guide to one of the settings (vertical oval, circle, horizontal oval–or anywhere inbetween), and re-tighten the retaining ring. Once I was done, cleanup was simple, following the directions in the manual. Unplug the sprayer and pull the trigger to allow any extra paint to flow back into the pot; pour out the unused paint back into your can. Disconnect the pot/nozzle assembly from the motor (depress the unlock button and pull), then rinse the parts in warm water until clean. Took all of 4 minutes! A handy mini wire brush is included, as well as a declogging pin if the need should arise (it’s taped to the back of the manual, so be aware!) One last note: it is louder than I expected, but I didnt really know what to expect. Its not uncomfortably so, but Id probably wear hearing protection if I were spraying inside or for a prolonged period, since the beefy motor isn’t particularly quiet. All in all, I’m very pleased with the purchase, and am looking forward to painting more things!

> 3 dayI bought this sprayer based upon other reviews, and others were right that this sprayer works, and it is easy to clean. It is great that it has 6 sprayer tips to use. This gives you a lot of flexibility. Definitely worth the money.
