What I was not expecting was the size of this watercolor set. I must have forgotten to check the dimensions because when I opened the box the set was at least 5 times larger than my current set. These will last me forever. The size was magnificent but more important is the quality. The colors are very rich, dilute easily and can be lifted very easily as well. Best of all the tones are vibrant but natural. As a scientific illustrator this is a huge relief. I would definitely buy this again.

Beautifully pigmented, these watercolours are a dream to work with. The price is fanatastic as well. Im a newb when it comes to professional watercolour so this was perfect for me as I tend to paint with acrylics (which are highly opaque and saturated.

I love the way this paint lays on paper. The colors are vibrant and have sort of a creamy application. Personally I like it better than traditional watercolor.

Absolutely love the watercolors, but a bit disappointed that their cardboard box is dented. It doesnt affect the paints, but theyre brand new and look a bit beat up (corners dented and ripped). I would purchase these again, but from a store where I can check out the packaging. I wouldve returned, but was too impatient to try the paints, which were fantastic and are now my new favorite brand.

Colors are nice and bright, the pans are cardboard though, gets somewhat wet and soft, thats discouraging.

Our favorite watercolor set, this is my second purchase. I will say of you lay the color heavily it doesnt dry completely matte. Still gorgeous and vibrant and worth every penny.

Im new to watercolor but so far I really like these. They are smooth and the colors are very nice. Mine came whole and no broken pieces like Ive read others have had troubles with. Pleased with this purchase. Also they dont bleed through with I use them in my Bible journaling.

I am a beginner-intermediate watercolor artist, and purchased a small 8 color set of Japanese watercolors at an estate sale. I loved the intensity of the colors so much that I bought this 36 color set. The colors are amazing. Unlike traditional western watercolors, these Japanese watercolors are opaque. They are similar to gouache, but the color are far more brilliant and opaque. You can mix the colors to attain custom tints and hues, but work just fine as stand alone colors. In Art We Trust!
