Hard to use for children but I used them fine.

These colors are wildly pigmented. They are a bit more opaque than traditional watercolors but can be diluted to give the same effects. A little bit of these goes such a long way and the colors are beautiful.

Lovely paints, but other sellers are a bit cheaper, so check around for the best price before you pick a seller. The gorgeous, traditional Japanese packaging (embossed, decorative, high quality paper box) makes this a wonderful gift. Mine came in a padded envelope inside another brown paper box, and none of my paints were cracked or chipped.
