The title says it all - one star for Kuryakyns complete lack of quality control and five stars to Amazons Customer Service. I bought the Kuryakyn Offset Highway Pegs #7980 about two weeks ago. Because of bad weather coupled with work assignments I didnt have the opportunity to mount them on my motorcycle until today. I unpacked both of them and read the directions. Installation is fairly easy and straightforward. I mounted the clamp and then the longhorn arm on the motorcycle. I then went to attach the clevis assembly to the longhorn arm. I noticed that the 5/16 fastener protruded about one quarter inch past the longhorn arm when I took them apart but didnt think anything about this. On the other one the 5/16 fastener was flush with the edge of the longhorn arm. No big deal I thought they had simply not tightened the fastener at all. I attempted to tighten this fasten and would not screw into clevis assemble beyond that point where I initially found it. I didnt want to gorilla it in there so I took the whole assembly off the bike and then looked at the clevis assembly. Lo and behold when I looked at the threads I found that they werent just bad - they were mangled. The first three threads or so looked normal but after that all that was present were partial threads and twisted metal. In short there was no way that this unit had ANY quality control inspection before it was packaged and then ultimately sent to Amazon. I called Kuryakin customer service. Got voice mail informing me of their hours (my call was right in the middle of their day) and by pressing the right phone key I could be transferred to technical support. OK, did that and got another voice mail. OK, left a message. Roughly a little over an hour their technical support person called me back. I wanted to tell them about this problem in case there was a QC problem. Nope, no QC problem is what I learned. Kuryakyn DOES NOT inspect these items. They only do batch QC inspections furthermore Kuryakyn does not manufacture the components that go into these various products. They merely assemble them. Frankly I am disappointed in Kuryakyn. If I were buying the cheap Chinese knock offs of this product for $25-$35 then I would expect that I would get what I paid for. When paying over $135 though for a set of these highway pegs I expected better. Now the good part. Amazon customer service did their usual fantastic job. No problem Mr. X, we are very sorry that you received a defective item. I will have a replacement unit sent out to you overnight. Amazon even sent an email with a prepaid return UPS shipping label. With customer service like this is it any wonder that many of us buy as much as we can from Amazon. Five stars guys. You did it the way it should be done.

Easy to install and great adjustability.

I have used this brand for years. Very impressed by the high quality feel and heavy built. Chrome looks to be good quality plating. Comes with everything needed to install unlike the Harley parts where you have to buy mounting hardware separately.

Product is excellent quality. This is my second set as my previous bike was also outfitted with the 7555 model. Adjustable in an infinite number of settings, depending on the preferences of the rider. Installation took only a few minutes. Stronly recommend this product.

Way better than expected! Heavy duty. Glad i didnt get knock offs. Love these. Easy to put on and feet dont slide off.
