Kwikset Halifax, Door Handle Lever Passage Door for Hall and Closet with Microban, Square Rose in Matte Black

Bought this to replace a broken, builders grade handle. This is 100 times better than the old one. It was also very easy to install. We like it so much that I just bought more to replace all the door handles in our condo.

Our condo door levers were 20 years old and you do not notice that it looks bad. When we bought them, the looks are great, everybody notices it and you house looks newer

I bough this lock 4 times and only one of the door handles was successful installed. Don’t get me wrong the handle is not hard to install my problem was Amazon. I bight these “like new” used. The first time they came one of the handles I bought came in the wrong color. Okay, sent it back. The next time I purchased a replacement; it only came with the interior handle (this was supposed to be interior and exterior so it was missing pieces). Next time I bought it got the handle all the way installed and realized that someone had already changed the lock but did not include the key so I could not use the rekey tool. The only reason I get kwikset is because it’s super easy to rekey. So my advice is to buy it, the handles look beautiful and feel sturdy, but don’t buy them used because you’ll have too many problems

The Halifax model is solid and feels heavy duty. You will notice the heft when in use. The square rose and linear handle brings the modern touch to the home, as long as the house design features support modern styling. There are other manufacturers who have a similar style of hardware but I found the best deal with the Kwikset here on Amazon.

A little too shiny as I was looking for matte black. Kind of clunky and unrefined in appearance. While I was looking for heavy and good quality, this just looks clunky to me. I didn’t install it so cannot speak to function.

My daughter broke mine door knob and I had to replace this was perfect o didn’t have to use everything.

Easy to install and very tight in operation. No giggly knobs. Nice and quiet. We love the 12 we installed.
