Kwikset Interior Bed/Bath Door Emergency Key X10

Keys to a privacy interior door made by Kwikset. The keys work fine so 5 Star. Though, I do not like the unlock/lock mechanism that Kwikset has implemented. It is tricky to find the right position for the key to work, especially if you are in a hurry to unlock the door (sick child needing a parent comes to mind, or elderly person needing assistance) the mechanism is a little difficult. This is at no fault of the key itself, but the locking mechinism that Kwikset uses. Keys get 5 stars.

many kids share a bathroom and are now smart enough to find these and, hide them for others. However, Dad now has back-ups :) the sisters can no longer monopolize the bathrooms when all us boys need to do it #1 or brush our teeth. i am not building another bathroom or buying a new house! We had a million of these (one above every door) when we moved it. Then we had none. Not awesome in the middle of the night when your older kids have messed with the locks and your littlest one is now stuck in the bathroom and needs to be wiped. Digging around at 2 AM for a screwdriver thats small enough to open that lock is a new height of parental misery. Now we have one over every door, again. Small price to pay for going back to sleep quickly.

These have worked perfectly and its nice having so many.

Just as advertised. We lost our bathroom keys and this was a great replacement.

We have the handle style doorknobs on our interior doors and really like them. Then we got a cat that figured out how to hang on the door handle to open the door. Now we have to keep rooms locked if we want to keep her out. I called Kwickset and they sent me a couple of these keys, since we had misplaced all the ones that came with our doors. They told me that I could purchase them on Amazon too. With our cat, its nice to have one of these keys above every door. Once you use them a coulpe of times, they are easy to use. I just make sure the flat part of the key is horizontal before placing it in the hole. Wiggle it a little until you can feel that its in the groove and turn.

These fit my all of my doors and was exactly what I needed.

These are just what we needed. I am putting one above each door to avoid any ohno moments!

These keys are easy to use. They are sturdy and have held up to the use. I think they are a good value for the price.
