L2 R2 Trigger Hand Grip Shell Controller Protective Case for Sony PS Vita 1000 (Black)

Review
22-11-2024It is unfortunate that this seems to be the only style of l2 r2 grip available for the ps vita 1000, as it is significantly less comfortable to hold than the vita itself. The triggers are nice to have, but just not worth the comfort trade off these are super uncomfortable. They should be 1/3rd of the price that they are.

> 3 dayIts very comfortable and I love the triggers. They are a little far and the springs could be better but they work great and using them feels natural. I used them with advremap and now these work as L/R for almost all my games!

Greater than one weekThis grip definitely does not deserve to be this expensive. This is a cheap Chinese product made out of cheap feeling plastic. HOWEVER, seeing as this is one of the few grips for the 1000 model that has triggers, I think its still worth the purchase. My vita fit perfectly with no issues and it feels great in the hand. I think many people have an issue with holding the Vita because of the back touch pad, but this eliminates that issue entirely. The most important thing though, is the L2 and R2 triggers. These are a GODSEND for playing PS1 titles and PS4 remote play. All these triggers do is push on the back touchpad a little, but its so much better than trying to actually use that god awful touchpad yourself. The triggers feel pretty good, theyre responsive, and Ive not had any issues with them so far. This more or less completely eliminates one of the core issues of the Vita, and for that alone I think its worth the purchase.

> 3 dayI got this because my dumb fingers cant hit the back touch screen triggers that are supposed to be L2 and R2, making some games impossible. For fixing that issue, this does the job incredibly well, giving me a real trigger to press. Its a little awkward to grip, but not too much to be a problem. My biggest issue would be my fingertips are constantly digging into latch at the top, and after a while it becomes almost painful to play. But it does the job I bought it to do, so I cant complain too much.

> 3 dayI have big hand so handling a vita is pretty uncomfortable without a grip this grip fits perfectly and feels good in the hands.

> 3 dayThe addition of L2/R2 buttons is great for playing PS1 games. The open back makes it so you can still use the touch portion of the vita if you want to keep the grip on. I get a cramp in my right hand when using it for a couple hours so I take it out every now and then. My advice for the clips is to use something small and rigid like a stiff toothpick and pick each tab individually to open the case, it goes pretty smoothly and you wont damage them this way.

> 3 dayThe shoulder triggers are great and feel exactly like a “real” r2/l2 button. Highly recommended, even though the build, particularly the front cover, is a bit flimsy. Once installed you don’t really notice it.
