This case is cheaply made and I would never recommend anyone buy it. There is a round leather disc attached on one side (hidden in most of the pictures) which apparently is suppose to be riveted in place and where you would attach your lanyard or carrying strap. DONT DO THAT! This pulled off of my case less than 5 minutes after I opened the package, leaving a hole in the case. What a piece of junk! I bought it to use with a new WD 2TB Elements USB 3.0 Hard Drive which it was recommended for. It doesnt fit properly! The drive is thick enough that once you put the cable in the pouch you have to force the case closed to close the zipper. I have little doubt this zipper will get damaged from this pressure within another few weeks. If this wasnt so inexpensive, I would return it, but its not worth my time. I will not buy anything made by this company again and I recommend you look elsewhere for a case if you are considering this one.

The cable and hard drive fit nicely and I do not worry about it inside my backpack with other gear.
