Needed a carrying case for a new external I bought and this one seems to work fine. Havent done any drop tests and dont plan to either, but it seems like it would protect it from small drops if you where carrying it around. Has spots for cables and everything you need.

Pretty happy with this case. The outside is hard enough I’m confident the contents will survive a fall (though it’s more of a medium hard case and not as stiff as I expected). Inner flap ensures the hard drive is not scratched by a cord doing its own movement, plenty of space for memory cards and sticks. Also appreciate the attachments that allow for easy carrying, especially the piece that is sturdily places. There was a slight smell to it when it arrived, but I’m pretty confident it will air out quickly and it isnt strong (seriously have to put my nose close to it to notice). Would purchase again, and probably will when I get another hard drive.
