Greater than one weekThis case offers great protection for my portable hard drive. It has a hard shell outside and a medium/firm inside pillow that allows maximum protection. I would never intentionally throw this case down a flight of stairs, but I think this case could take it and the hard drive inside would be just fine.

Greater than one weekThis was actually for an accident prone client to hold their portable backup drive. So far after several drops, including one into water, this has kept the drive safe. There is also plenty of room for the drive and the cable with room to spare for a few flash drives too.
