I have a pretty bad case of lactose intolerance. Even the slightest amount of dairy affects me. Luckily, I am not a huge fan of dairy. But, there are times when I want to enjoy a bowl of ice cream, some pizza, or even a slice of cheese on a sandwich. Also, its amazing how many things have dairy in them without you realizing it. Whenever I know I am going to have dairy, I take Lactaid. It does a great job. It isnt always 100% effective - sometimes, Ill still experience symptoms even after taking it. But, the symptoms arent nearly as bad. I also take Lactaid if I am unsure about a particular food. Because it isnt a drug, I dont mind taking it in the event that I may unknowingly ingest some dairy. If using this, make sure that you take it right before you have dairy. Also, if you will be eating for a little while, take another. I will usually take one every 30 minutes if enjoying a long meal.

I must have an extreme lactose intolerance allergy because I have to swallow 3 to 4 pills every time I east dairy. It does not act any faster than the regular one. The one thing I dont like is that each pill is individually wrapped. Thats fine if you are taking some out with you. But there should be another version where they are loose in the bottle. But since they dont, Ill just go back to the regular kind.

These tablets are the real thing! Ive had so much trouble with generic brands - they simply dont work. These are the only ones Ive found that make me feel great!

Don’t know what I would do without these. I use the caplets which are easy to swallow. When you’re lactose intolerant you either stick to absolutely no dairy or you take this little caplet. I tried taking it after first bite like the directions tell you but that didn’t work so my doctor told me to take it about half an hour before I eat dairy. I love cheese. If I didn’t take this caplet, I would not be able to handle cheese or any other dairy.

As a lactose intolerant being, this product has helped me ingest many dairy products. I usually take 3 together immediately before lactose consumption and it works. I used to vomit, have abdominal cramping and diarrhea even with the smallest percentage of a milk ingredient, now I just pop 3 of these babies in my mouth and I’m good for at least 10-15 minutes. I still usually avoid dairy products for the most part but this definitely works and is great to take when you don’t know the full list of ingredients in what is given to you.

Cant live with lactaid because cheese is my life. Been taking the caplets a few years and absolutely hated the initial bite. So glad there is a chewable version. I bought this because the chewables were out of stock and i needed this for a trip. These are effective though. If you dont mind the taste, get these as I think they are a little cheaper.

This stuff is very effective and quick-acting for those who have an issue with lactose. Even if I take it right after (vs. before) eating something with milk products in works effectively. I generally break them in half, as I dont seem to need the full capsule. Just a note: this is not a caplet you take that is effective for a 24-hour period. It is a fast-acting formula that will need to be taken each time you eat something that could cause a lactose intolerance issue.

I have had a horrid lactose intolerance since I was a kid and its a royal pain. Milk, ice cream and some cheeses (not all) trigger the worst series of events imaginable--well, not the worst perhaps, but not pleasant! If youve ever seen Meg Ryans great movie French Kiss there is a GREAT lactose-intollerance scene that will make you laugh. Ive bought store-brand lactase enzyme and sometimes it works, sometimes not. But if I can get the brand-name stuff her on Amazon for a few pennies more, Im in. The Lactaid brand really works--100% of the time. By the way, a doctor told me recently that as you age your intolerance gets worse, so you may need to use more--a good thing to know. I love that this is an Amazon Prime product and that it gets delivered to my door without shipping costs.
