This little stand is simple, but sturdy. I purchased it to hold my iPad in the kitchen so I could view recipes. It works perfectly for that purpose. I can stand my tablet on the stand in either landscape or portrait position. I would ensure that you do NOT place your tablet on the edge of the counter as it is only laying in holder, not attached and you dont want to accidentally knock your tablet to the floor...that would not make your day.

It’s sturdy enough for my IPad and 10”Kindle.
