The glass globe is quite substantial in size, but not exceedingly heavy. I was concerned about having to add additional support, but am thrilled that this is not. A heavy crystal-like weight. The fluted exterior and design around the top are look beautiful both in daylight as well as when the light is turned on. The metal fixture that holders the globe and the light bulb can be hung close to the ceiling or you can extend the chai and wire to lower it to a more customized height. I have the gold pendant. It is a beautiful gold with a touch of black. Not necessarily antiqued brass or anything that dark, but more elegant and expensive looking that fake brass or brazen gold. I like it very much.

We absolutely love these lights. They are the perfect mix between victorian and industrial that we were looking for. The glass is heavy and they seem to be well made! Would definitely recommend these pendant lights!
