It’s a more plastic finish but that good so any fluid can just wipe right off and not cause a stain on the case. And it also seems like water won’t penetrate through the case and on to my iPad which is very pleased about. The inside of the case is very soft and I’m sure it will not scratch up my iPad. I’m also very glad that my iPad Pro (10.5in) and it’s keyboard fits perfectly inside! Last but not least, I love that it matches exactly to my stylus case I bought from a different company. If you’re thinking of buying it, don’t hesitate
