Greater than one weekIf you want to adjust the width you have to screw it into place. It sounds more daunting and cumbersome than it really is. Once you have it adjusted right I am not sure why you would need to readjust it unless you bought another computer. A keyboard does fit under it but I would type under it, it could be done but I wouldnt.

> 3 dayI was so excited to start my school semester with this but when it came it only came with the 3 base pieces and no screws or tool to actually put them together. Aside from their mistake, it seems like it would be a great product. Without the screws tho it is just 3 pieces of metal and is useless. Very disappointed.
