> 3 daySoaps with moisturizers have a tendency to cause my skin to break out. This Lava soap does not have moisturizers, just a nice exfoliating scrub!

Greater than one weekMy dad made a comment about never being able to find the soap he used to get. As a mechanic, a GOOD cleaner is a must (cue Lava soap!). This was a great Fathers Day present. Thank you!

> 3 dayGrowing up and living with my grandparents for awhile, I got to know Lava soap and its cleaning capabilities because my grandfatther operated a wrecking crane on the NY Central Railroad and used it every day upon returning hoome. I have used it at various times during my life, and had noticed recently how difficult it is to find in a grocery store. I ordered this and have to admit, I am disappopinted. What was indeed a rough, pumice laden scrubbing your skin off soap is now has lotion. I do not like it - not the soap I grew up with - the softer soap now leaves a slimy green substance on the soap dish in the shower. the old one was like a cross between a pumice stone and soap. This might as well be Irish Spring. Very disappointed - if you know the old whitish gray Lava - this too will disappoint you.

03-06-2025Works great for cleaning machinists greasy hands. Not irritating to his hands (has exzema), unlike many other abrasive products. Unable to find Lava locally so was happy to find on Amazon. Large 12 pack was added bonus.
