> 3 dayA trip to Dubai is on my bucket list. Ive always been intrigued with the architecture and development there and truly hope to make it there someday soon. But until then, this piece will keep me happy. I ordered it and couldnt wait for it to arrive. The box is the usual classy black card of Legos Architecture series, featuring images of the set on both front and rear. The back of the box has real-life photos of the five Dubai landmarks included, allowing you to compare the microscale LEGO versions with their inspiration. The set depicts the Dubai Fountain, the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, the Dubai Frame, the Burj Al Arab hotel, and Burj Khalifa — the tallest building in the world. The box contains 5 numbered bags and the instruction booklet. Two of the bags are smaller, both containing lots of Transparent-Blue 1×1 round studs. No less than 149 of these pieces go into Burj Khalifa’s glazing, making up a full 20% of the set’s part count. The 112-page manual takes you through the 169 construction steps required to complete the model, and as is traditional in Architecture sets, features double-page photo spreads providing information on the landmarks depicted. The instructions are peppered with further trivia and images as you move through the build. Bag 1 constructs the diorama’s base. A long, thin strip of plates, studded with attachment points for the buildings to come. There are sideways-facing studs to attach the smooth tiles, and a “Dubai” printed tile to label the display. After putting together the base, Bag 2 starts building some actual buildings! The Jumeirah Emirates Towers are first, and almost straight away there are some interesting techniques. Loose parts are held in place by the bricks around them rather than being attached. The Towers are smartly-designed, and look good from both front and rear. I particularly liked the way the bottoms of the towers were built to lock them in place at an interesting angle on the base plate. With the addition of some tiny palm trees, and the simple construction of the neighboring Dubai Frame, this section of Dubai looks lovely. Bag 3 is for assembly of Burj Khalifa itself. Make sure as you start off each section of the tower, to use the correct light grey one, NOT the dark grey one. One of the best things about Legos is that they present well in the back as well as the front and thats true with this set as well. Dubai looks beautiful from both sides. Im very pleased with this set and am thrilled to have it on my desk to look at often. Im interested now in checking out some of the other Lego Architecture sets. Two thumbs up, five stars.

> 3 dayThe description says the set is for adults, but I got it for my 8 year old nephew. He loves Lego sets and hes so good at doing them. I thought maybe this would be a good challenge for him, but it took him no time to put it together. He loved it and still has it set up in his room. Im glad it gave him something to do, but kind of wish it would have been a little tougher for him. I think if you have kids good at Legos, this set would be just fine for them. Its really nice to look at after its been put together. Ive never been to Dubai, but I hope the Legos set does it justice.

> 3 dayThis is the second set in the LEGO Architurecture Skylines series weve done and weve been impressed with them so far. I like how they represent real cities. Im not very familiar with Dubai itself so the landmarks probably arent as meaningful to me as they should be. Still, its an impressive looking structure. We like to assemble them, enjoy them on a shelf for awhile, then disassemble and put away to do again later. For that reason I like that the box that this set comes in is designed to be reusable.

> 3 dayBought it to give as a gift to a Lego lover. They loved it! The set came with a few missing pieces (as per the gift receiver), but they were able to pick them up at their local Lego store!

> 3 dayIt is a fun, intricately designed lego piece that stands over a foot tall when assembled. My son is a big fan of tall buildings and really enjoyed building it. It looks classy when displayed too.
