anybody who loves lego will love this snow groomer (its a mega snow plow!). surprisingly fun and has some great unique pieces. The tracks are very versatile to add to other custom creations if you wanted to (tanks...hint hint)

My almost 6 year old (kindergartner) really enjoyed this set. She is transitioning from Duplo and this set makes her feel like a big kid. Kept her occupied. We assisted her here and there, mostly to find pieces and decode pictures, but she was determined to put the pieces together herself. I like that it was challenging for her. Always happy with Lego products. They are the best and all the blocks fit snugly, there are never missing or damaged pieces, and if you dont lose them, they last forever. Highest quality and makes great presents, too.

Great set with lots of parts I can use in MOCs. Fun build; no earth-shattering techniques, but even if you build it for the main set itself, this is worth having.

Back in 2009-2010, Lego offered a Technic snow groomer (8263). It was a good set, but unless you were on a very grippy surface, the treads tended not to move. The groomer just slid along the floor. This set, which is kind of a diminutive City version of 8263, does away with that problem by inserting a drive wheel at the center of the vehicle. As the groomer rolls along the ground, the wheel drives the treads via an axle. You can regard this as ingenious or as a cheat, but Lego solved the problem. The groomer also carries a snow shooter. Presumably this is a snow machine, though Ive never seen them mounted on groomers. In truth, Legos designers have found a way to place a large gatling gun on a treaded vehicle without appearing to sell a tank. Kids wont be fooled and they will know exactly how to take out the fun loving skier schussing around on aqua colored skis. This is a fun but quirky set. The proportions are off; these are the same treads used on the much larger Technic vehicle. They look very playful, however. The front blade (the only blade) uses a clunky pivoting joint; I would have preferred something with smoother action. In the end, this is a very distinctive set at a great price. I think it is very good play value for the money.

This is a great little set with action! Its almost like an early introduction to the Technix line with the moving parts. My kids love the tracks that actually work. And the snow canon is super fun! Just watch those little pieces getting lost in the carpet! Great little build and they will keep playing with it.
