LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Station 10259 Building Kit

A fun addition to our winter village collection.

The train station makes an amazing addition to the LEGO winter village sets. It has cool little details that really add to the train station: a ticket counter, newsstand, hot chocolate/coffee window, a bench for waiting passengers, and a holiday bus to bring passengers to the station. Building it was a lot of fun and it looks great with the rest of my LEGO winter village I have started to put together.

My son is a lego lover and this winter village and train station is adorable!!!!!! My suggestion is to get the Christmas train and train track LEGO set also so your child will have the whole thing. The station and train together is adorable and so much fun!

Absolutely wonderful Lego playset. If you are getting this for your child who is under 12 years of age, you will probably end up building it for them. There is a great amount of detail and a lot of little pieces. There were some pieces missing and some were not the correct size, but everything ended up being built without much ado. The pieces tend to be small, but that is what allows for the greater detail. I would probably say that it is for the Lego enthusiast from teen to adult. Younger children can enjoy this set, but will not have the patience to build it. My son was ecstatic about the fact that his Lego people from his other sets fit perfectly into the bus.

The LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Station is a highly detailed set that tweens to adults can enjoy. With a variety of LEGO sets out there, many of them rated ages 5+, this one stands out as 12+. I dont know if your child needs to be 12 to be able to assemble it, but I can see anyone under 10 having a difficult time following the extensive instructions and manipulating the small 1 x 1 detail pieces. The station house is intricately built at multiple levels, and there are interesting and unique pieces from the building that you can use for your own creations later. The crossing gate is well constructed and the bus, with its luggage items are a nice touch. It will take some time to put this thing together, and its sometimes difficult to pick out where a few small pieces go in the instructions, but the end result is a nice City set piece. As a disclaimer, anyone who is buying this set should realize that the train is not included, and there is only that little bit of track. Youll need additional LEGO track pieces and a train from elsewhere if you want to complete your expanding village set. In summary, I think this is a finely detailed LEGO city set that anyone over 10 would enjoy.
