Its a fun build and it ends up being a huge rocket, the only thing I didnt like was how tedious it sometimes got building 4 of every section

I did see that it was more for a 14+ kids, but figured by 11 year old would have fun with it. And he did! He got frustrated a couple times when things did not go as smooth (I think he was on bag #2 and 3 at the time), but after that it went pretty good. he was able to put the entire thing together in 1 day, probably spent a total of 7 hours? Hard to tell. Minor help from dad. One piece was missing, and I know it was missing and not lost, because he is super careful and we have a special area for legos. Bummer, but we had old lego sets so borrowed from there. All worked out. Great set, now looking for a corner shelf to display it proudly :) I would recommend, although the price in my mind should be adjusted :)

Ive been building lego since i was 7, now 29. As a space nerd, this is easily a must have set for anyone who loves lego and the re-release ensures it will be around for a long time. This thing is HUGE. Standing up is about 3 feet tall from engine to escape tower. The little builds for the splash down and LEM really help complete this model. Its incredibly sturdy and well designed, and incredibly intricate. Be sure to carefully read instructions or you will find yourself stuck. I HIGHLY recommend this to any lego fan, and 120 bucks for a 2000 piece set is an excellent value. Took me a full day to complete.

I bought this as a little present for myself, as I havent put together a lego set in probably forty years now. When I received it, it was in twelve separate bags, and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Some things that impressed me were the fact that it actually did the monster Rocketdyne F1 engines justice - it wasnt perfect because its Lego, but they had a block for the turbopumps, the gas generator outlet pipes, and even the kerosene and liquid oxygen hoses that connect to the turbopumps. They even included the fuel and oxidizer injection plate. The detail impressed me. It took me about six or seven hours to completely put together, and it now has a place of prominence in my office. Not everythings rosy, though: there was one piece missing that Lego, to their credit, are replacing, and it seems that the instructions could have been ordered differently to make it a little less painful. All in all, it was not too (or very, depending on your point of view) challenging, a good waste of time when I needed it, and a quality, somewhat durable finished product.

This set took myself and my girlfriend, 21 and 20 years of age, about 4 hours to assemble in one go. Each and every step of the way was absolutely filled with joy and excitement as we continued to watch the little LEGO blocks come together to form an incredibly well-detailed and well-designed model of the Saturn V. The upper stage where the LEM can sit can be half-opened, to allow a cutaway view of where it sits. The separate stages can be easily pulled apart, to show the whole rocket at different stages of its flight. The different stages click together in a very sturdy and satisfying way, using the same connection type as a minifigs hands and compatible things to hold, but with several contact points. The little micro-fig Astronauts serve as an amazing and humbling reminder of the enormous scale of the original Saturn V rocket. LEGO has outdone themselves with this set. I cannot recommend it enough for anyone that enjoys LEGO, space, or, especially, both.

I saw this on Amazon warehouse deals and immediately purchased it, $89.00. The package had water damage, but the contents were all there and in perfect condition. This was absolutely incredible build. I knew it was gonna be good with all the reviews out there, but the real pleasure is putting this together. Very solid construction. I was expecting a fragil wobbly look not touch kind of thing. Not at all, you are encouraged to break apart each module to learn how the real Saturn V works. Really fun to play with and the micro figures really scales how huge the Saturn V was/is. The most impressive thing in the whole build for me is there are no specialized pieces to make this structure cynrical. Its all common lego pieces. Lots of good ideas for constructing castle towers, rounded walls or a water tower. May have to buy a 2nd one for parts.

It was fun and I enjoyed it a lot 120$ is a lot but I thought it was worth it. Removed one star because it was missing a piece and I instead got an extra one by two so I had to use some glue but no big deal just sucks a little
