    Greater than one week

Absolutely worth the money. The kids loved it and had it built in 4 hours. We are leaving for Florida next week and I wanted to show them what daddy does so I purchased this Lego Saturn V to show them the build before we go see the real thing. Its a monster of a kit and its hard to build. I wish they would make one for the Falcon Heavy rocket!

Definitely the most satisfying Lego build Ive done . The result is gorgeous , the build was never too complicated or unwieldy. The instruction book was absolutely top notch . The level of detail including much interior detail you cannot see is amazing . It was a very great way to spend a rainy weekend and will always have a place in my house.

Ive been building Legos for as long as I can remember and this is by far the most complex Lego set Ive ever built! That being said, this model is an absolute beauty! It was extremely well built, extremely accurate to history of the Saturn V rocket used back during the moon landings starting in 1969 (notice the number of pieces is the same as the year)! It separates into its respective stages, the astronaut mini figures r super minified to keep this model to its scaled size which for a super space nerd and Lego nerd like me, I find absolutely fantastic! This model has become my favorite Lego set/model and I cant wait to see what the team who created this set makes next! I do have a few pointers though, the first one is good/bad depending on who you ask. Sometimes Legos out of the box are missing pieces, this model for me had the right amount of pieces, it does differ from box to box, so if you are a big Lego fan and have tons of Legos not being used for sets/models, I recommend to dig through the bins or whatever storage you have in case you are missing a small piece because the inner pieces arent gonna matter much since the exterior is all you see of this model. The next few pointers, Ive read a lot of one star complaints about people getting mad and just walking away from the build because it would fall apart when you put another piece on, make sure you put the pieces on as tight as you can because I can assure you, if you keep the pieces tight on the model, you are golden! My next and last pointer is the actual build itself, Im not a pro builder by any means, but I am experienced and I have to say, if you plan on buying this and building it, know your strengths and weaknesses on building because this set will test your abilities as it did with mine. But if you are really wanting to test your skill and think you can do it, then by all means, go for it! Its lego, its suppose to be fun! :)

I gave this to my dad on Christmas and he was so happy! We stayed up until midnight building this. I really liked the little Easter egg of the piece number and launch date!!!

I got this as a project for me and my 13 year old daughter. We really loved it! We had to pace ourselves and limited our build time to 2 bags a day. We didnt build every night and took 2 weeks to complete it. What a lot of fun! Were now looking for another large set to build together. The building was pretty easy with only a few sections that were a bit tricky (the vent sections on the 2nd stage mostly). The size of the finished kit is very impressive! It now sits proudly lying along the edge of my desk on the display stands. The build book is really well thought out, clear and easy to follow. Having only built lego creations from random pieces as a kid, this Saturn V rocket kit is an amazing jump ahead in size and finished model quality. Im very impressed with it and looking forward to more large kits! Im watching for the new Millennium Falcon set to be available now... not because Im a Star Wars fan, but because it will be a long build I can do with my daughter.

Amazingly designed and conceived kit, and the construction is solid, even heavy, with details like LOX and Hydrogen fuel tanks, engine details, and printed pieces, rather than stick-on labels. Every aspect of the early Apollo missions is included, and available to be displayed in various mission stages, from the launch vehicle stages and escape tower, to the spacecraft modules themselves. (later-mission details like the LM-attached lunar rover are not included, but understandable at the 1:110 scale) 1969 pieces is a nice reference to the year that Apollo 11 landed on the moon for the first time. If that piece count were overlooked, it may have been nice to have two horizontal museum stand assemblies per rocket stage, rather than balancing each on just one stand per stage. Although the stages do rest horizontally on one each, two would be more confident and similar to displays at Kennedy and Johnson Space Centers. Also, perhaps the inclusion of a spare command module printed piece to allow for showing the Command and service modules in flight, without having to dismantle the Command Module splashdown display assembly to attach that piece to the service module.

When I saw the price I immediately bought it. My 12 years old couldnt be more happy. We tried to build not more than a bag day, but we were too impatient to see it done. What a great Lego set.
