> 3 dayIts the first Lego in my life. I had so much fun putting it together. The details are good and there are many functions for the price and size. Difficulty level is not high, I recommend 100% to people who start Lego for the first time like me.

> 3 dayWhile this set is on the smaller scale for $50, you still feel you got your moneys worth every time you look at it. The articulating front suspension is a cool feature and fun to prop up one wheel for staging. Add the opening hood and doors along with the back seat steering and it is another satisfying build. Only complaint is there were a few pages that did not include all of the required arrows for piece placement. Took a few extra minutes to figure it out so not a big deal. Ive seen this on other sets as well, and it would be nice if the manual proofreading was more thorough.

Greater than one weekBought 5 different Lego model sets as a family Christmas activity. As an activity, the Legos were a hit, but this Jeep Lego set is a miss. While building the model, I repeatedly thought that the Lego engineers intentionally made the kit harder than it had to be, probably to up the number of pieces to make it seem more impressive than it is. For some reason, theres a really complex steering system, that includes a shaft, with a real cardigan joint, that extends to what would be the back seat in the jeep so that you can turn the front wheels side to side...um, why? The wheels dont even roll. Id much prefer to have wheels that actually roll than the ability to turn the wheels side to side a couple of degrees. The instruction book...novel...tome really (120+ pages) is detailed early on, then as you progress it completely omits the assembly of individual pieces. Its as if the engineers wore themselves out trying to drive up the piece count. Overall, this particular model was a disappointment. Box says 8+, I guess maybe a really advanced 8 year old could put this together with help, but I think its really should be a 12+ set.

> 3 dayMy 15 year old said this is the coolest set he has ever put together. He especially likes the working suspension. It didnt take him very long to put it together. We will be buying more Lego Technic sets.
