Look closely at the photographs; these have a raised diamond-like surface on all four corners and do not rest flat like a standard Home Depot cover. Also, the movies are misleading because these face plates are not any stronger or more flexible than inexpensive face plates.

OMG!! This is the best black 1 port wall plate ever. I dont know how I ever lived without it. Its a little flexible for when the wall is a little out of whack. The mounting screws are long enough to reach the outlet box even though its 3/8 back from where its supposed to be. And the snap in port fits perfectly in the back and leaving no gaps whatsoever between the outside edges of the port and the plate. So if you have a rustic/primitive style home but with modern upgrades, black is where its at. Used this port with

worked great solid and clean install of cat 6 cable.
