Works really good to get dust and pollen out of the air in my home

I wasn’t sure if an air purifier would be beneficial or not but I decided to buy one and give it a try. After researching several brands, I opted for the levoit and all I can say is “wow”! I run it everyday all day and I sleep way better and no sinus issues that I have when I sleep! It definitely is pulling in dander and etc. as I see it for myself when cleaning off the filter. At first it looks like there’s nothing in the filter, but as you start to clean it off as per the directions, you can clearly see it is doing its job! I can tell by the air it seems more fresh. You got to try it for yourself and see what the difference is. If you’re in the market for an air purifier, try the levoit brand as I highly recommend it! I’m going to buy another one or maybe two for additional rooms.

An air purifier is not a complicated device. It is a fan, and an air filter. The fan pulls air through the air filter, and catches various particles and impurities in the air. As long as you have a decent HEPA filter, and a fan that has enough velocity to circulate the room air through the filter effectively, it will work to clean the air. You can build one yourself with a box fan and some high quality furnace filters and duct tape if you have to. So what distinguishes this one from the hundreds of others out there, why is it so popular? (1) Low up front costs - this has enough power to handle a small room effectively and a true HEPA filter at a pretty low initial cost. (2) Easy to live with - the fan is very quiet except on high, and even on high it isnt obnoxiously loud. Changing the filter takes about 10 seconds and is easy to do. There is a pre-filter to catch large dust/animal hair and the like which you can vacuum to extend the life of the HEPA filter for small particles. The unit itself is not huge or ugly, so it can sit in the corner of most rooms without being objectionable. (3) Available filters - this units extreme popularity means that there will likely be filters available for many years. (4) It does work - I bought an air quality meter after the recent wildfire smoke episode, and it shows me that this thing does a pretty good job in small rooms. In bigger rooms it will still provide some benefit, but it is really not able to move enough air quickly enough to clean a large room. Downsides: The filters are relatively small, so they will have to be changed fairly frequently if you run the unit constantly. How frequently? I dont know, your mileage will vary depending on how many pets you have, how much wildfire smoke is in your area, etc. But I would expect to buy at least two a year if comparing this to other units that may have larger filters you need to change less often. So think about the total running costs and not just the up front cost when comparison shopping here. If you are thinking about saving money by trying to run this in a bigger room than it is designed for, dont go down that road. You do need to size your unit to the area you are trying to keep clean. A large room needs a larger unit with a bigger fan and a bigger filter. Also, all of these things are quieter if not running on high. So it is better to get a bigger unit even one that handles more than you are asking it to, and then run it slower and change the filters less often versus trying to save money up front and then driving the thing as hard as it will go to barely get any benefit.

I spent some time reading reviews on Amazon and decided on this purifier. I like noise when i sleep so the high mode is like a fan going and that doesnt bother me. The sleep mode has some noise but I put it on to test and was surprised with how quiet it was. I put this on 8 hr in my bedroom as it smells the most (i have a dog with skin conditions) and I wake up congested every night. I noticed an immediate improvement upon first night of sleep. Night one no congestion and night two odor is pretty much gone (I did also wash my dog and throw her bedding away and replace and bought a new bed since the old lady peed on the bed). I was so happy with the product that i brought it downstairs to and put on 8hr timer for the living room. I noticed a difference in the room same day as well just took longer due to size. I also like the different filter options and all the modes which i played around with. Filters are about 35 for 2 so good price for replacements. Overall I am happy with my purchase and would buy again.

We have 2 cats and one dog in this household and this air purifier does absolutely wonderful at cleaning the air. Between the smell of litter boxes and dust and dirt, and any other smells that come into homes occasionally, no one can smell our pets or food for extended periods of time when they come into our house. This is definitely worth the money put in to buy it. It is very affordable and compact but does a great job.

I am very happy with this...the main room in my small apartment is about 450 square feet and this unit works very well for me. I had a chronic cough from allergies and after using this for about 2.5 weeks, it pretty much went away. I had it running on High for the first couple of weeks during the day, now I keep it on the low setting. It is basically silent and I forget that it is on. It is a little louder running on the highest setting, but even that isnt bad for noise. Other great thing about this...it was plug and play right out of the box. Very intuitive to get started, I never even read the directions--pulled it out of the box, plugged it in and turned it on. Highly recommend this size Levoit for a small-ish space.

Great value for the money, filters my room while I sleep. I will buy more of this brand.

Literally the first Amazon review Ive left after an ungodly amount of purchases throughout the years. Love my Levoit air purifier! Ive had it for about 6 months running constantly on the low setting in my living room. Changed the filter today for the first time and was SHOCKED when I compared the dirty filter next to a clean one! Im going to be buying a second system for my bedroom. Its super easy to change out the filter to, just turn it upside down and twist off the bottom cover, easy peasey!

This machine absolutely works and I’d still recommend it to friends/family because I do think it’s worth the investment. I bought it to help me during allergy season and within the first couple days of having it on, I noticed I was sneezing less and much less congested. However, I just got my power bill back and yikes. This little machine alone cost me an extra $100 in electricity. So I shut it off for now and noticed my sneezing and congestion are back and just as bad as before. I still plan to use this but will definitely need to start being more strategic with how long I keep this on and using the timer feature more often. (I had just left it running for really extended periods of time before.) I would caution others to do the same if they plan on purchasing.

I do really like this air filter! I have been impressed with how clean the air in my house is and the smell (I have 4 dogs who come in and out so lots of pet allergens). I read some reviews where the air filter lasted 3 months BUT I say it really only lasts 1-2 months at least with all of the dogs I have. You can vacuum the filter in between filter changes and that seems to really help prolong them!
