After a bit of research, I decided to buy a basic, no frills humidifier for use in a bedroom. I am very pleased with this humidifier. I notice a definite change when I use it. It has relieved dry mouth while sleeping and dry skin issues. I set the ON dial to just past the middle mark and that provides adequate humidification for me. Before buying the humidifier, I measured the square footage of the bedroom to make sure it fell within the stated area of humidification of this product. The humidifier is super easy to clean. Basically, you remove the top and the tank and rinse them. The instructions say to just rinse the parts every 3 days and to not use any detergent products, so Ive been following those instructions, even though I want to use some soap. :-) I havent found anything slimy or any discoloration inside the humidifier tank, so I guess rinsing it works. I havent owned the humidifier long enough to need to follow the descaling process. One of the best things about this humidifier is that it is NOISELESS. And there is no light. This is very important to me because I cant sleep if theres any noise (even white noise) or light. Im very happy with this humidifier. Its working well and it was very reasonably priced. I consider it a great buy.

What I like is that it is like a bucket to add water to, very simple and effective. It has an analog knob to decide how much of a puff you want and you can throw in essential oils. Super big stream puff cloud, holds lots of water, just the right size in my opinion. Looks good to boot.

Easy to get to sleep when its running. Doesnt seem to hydrate the whole room, but thats hard to tell since the apartment is so dry. It does help. If you use distilled water it can be very expensive - the reservoir holds 1 gallon, and you can use all that if it runs all day. Which means your costs could be upwards of $38 per month (depending on how expensive distilled water is in your area). It is easy to clean; vinegar gets out hard tap water and the odor rinses away easily.

Keeps my skin from getting dry and helps me when Im sick. Use it every night while I sleep. Levoit makes good stuff and they have great customer service too.

We use this for our plants and have seen a positive difference in the growth!

This really helped my wife sleep better since our bedroom air is a bit dry. The tank is big enjoy to last a few nights.

This is by far the best humidifier I’ve bought to date. I read the reviews before purchasing and saw a few people mentioned about the cleaning. I have had humidifiers in the past where I simply used tap water and the nasty buildup of mineral deposits was bad and hard to clean. So this time I decided to only use distilled water and I have got to say, I am very impressed!! No slimy water at the bottom of the base, super easy clean up ( not that it needed it but I’m obsessive after my old unit) the tank holds just under a gallon of water. It’s very quiet for me but I sleep with a sound machine so I don’t hear anything. Easy to use on off switch and the out of water indicator with turn red but you’ll already know it’s out of water cause you can see the water level ( I have the frosted white color) and the mist stops coming out of the unit. Overall this machine get an A+ rating!

Overall, good humidifier, could be better. Helpfulness: 5/5 stars It has definitely helped my sinuses at night. Im breathing easier. Water: 3.5/5 You have to use filtered, distilled, or purified water. Another review mentioned that their air filter went off when they used regular/ filtered house water due to impurities in the air. However, it does take a good amount of water (3L, aprx. 3/4 of a galon) and it able to run for nearly 24 hours non-stop if the tank is full. Ease of cleaning: 3/5 stars Its easy to clean, yes. Most of the parts come off, except this little doughnut thingy which I think might be the water leveler. To take it off, youd have to unscrew it, and I dont want to mess with that. However, there are a lot of nooks and crannies that you have to get into. You absolutely need both a pipe cleaner or a toothbrush to get into some of the nooks. Im not sure if the kind of water you use makes a difference in how quickly the mold grows. I use filtered water. Have not tried purified, distilled, or tap. Cleaning Time: 3/5 stars You have to clean it every 2-3 days. The instructions say every 3 days, however, I already see pink stuff on day three. I run the humidifier nearly all 24 hours, so maybe thats why. It also does take -- at least if you do it thoroughly and scrub every single nook and cranny -- 15-20 mins to wash it. If you dont clean it well the first time, the mold will grow much faster. So you really have to put in that time and effort get in every nook possible. Noise Level: 5/5 It does make noise, a soft hum. But its ambient and easily fades into the background. Im sensitive to noise when I sleep, and I have no trouble with it at all. It does get louder the more you crank it up. Overall: 4/5 Overall, Im happy with the purchase. But I do wish there werent as many nooks and crannies that you had to clean every two to three days.

As a reminder, use distilled water. This thing does the job but it goes through water crazy fast.
