They are sturdy. I wouldnt go testing the strong wind with these umbrellas though. The only gripe I have with the product is that you have to push it back into place after accidentally closing it so you can retrigger the opening. Other than that, I really enjoyed it for the price.

very easy to store and good quality construction

These are beautiful but small umbrellas. Light and easy to store and carry in a car. They go up and down very easily, and I have no complaints about their sturdiness or their mechanical mechanisms. However, due to their size, if there is any breeze or wind, the rain is likely to blow in under the umbrella even though the umbrella performs flawlessly. I was surprised. They barely suffice for one but they are not umbrellas you would carry and share with your spouse. (Get your own, this is mine.)

The umbrellas are great for traveling, easy to operate, and to use as a gift.
