Keeps my FTM400XDR securely in place.

It could just be my player and the bezel around it in my 2017 F150 but the head is not solid at all and makes trying to use the remote head of my FT-891 annoying. I like things solid. I dont want them to be flopping around at all. This absolutely fails at that. I was trying to get a mount that moved the head up higher than on my aftermarket Havis console. I have the 40/20/40 front bench.

Well you need a cd slot guess whats not in the newer cars

I use this for my FT-891. Works great, but due to the arrangement of my CD slot being above my entertainment console, the thumb screw blocked too much of the screen. So I replaced the OEM thumb screw with a shorter bolt and Im happier. Overall very tight and supportive.

I bought this to use in my 1999 Jeep Cherokee, but it fits too loosely. Hitting any bumps makes it jump up and down and work its way out of the slot. Fail. But in my 2015 Ford F150 it fits very tightly and securely. So its performance depends on your vehicle.

I use it as my mounting bracket for my Amateur Radio Removable Head. Looks great and has proven to be very securely attached. Drawback is can’t use CD player, but with Sirius XM, and listening/talking on my Amateur Radio I didn’t use it anymore anyway.

For what this product is, its way over priced.
