> 3 dayThe clarity is amazing. If you can’t afford the 3350 this is the way to go. I do wonder what shade 8 would look like. Absolute 5 star helmet none the less.

> 3 dayGamble for love or gamble for money, but coming from a family where there is blindness--and remembering mistakes from my student welding days--I learned not to gamble with my eyesight. I purchased this Made-in-China item some days ago, and when it arrived I read all the directions and examined the controls. I adjusted sensitivity and faced the helmet directly into the sun, looking at the lens from the side of the helmet for safety, and yet the lens would not darken until sensitivity was turned up to about 85% of max. Right after this point it darkened, but then, even allowing for the max delay period and holding the helmet in deep shake, it would not release from dark. This helmet was purchased to replace my 13-year-old student welding school helmet from Miller. It still works fine, but I wanted the newer technology lens coloration. I asked Amazon for a return but have heard nothing whatever. Fast to take customer money, another way of doing business come return time.
