Greater than one weekWorks well for a hobby level welder. Easy to adjust, and good view of the weld pool.

> 3 dayI bought this helmet after taking an introductory welding class at a community college. The helmets available from the welding program had lenses with a pronounced green tint. This made it hard for me to see the arc, weld pool, and surrounding material with my version of red/green color blindness. The lens of this Viking Lincoln helmet is much more true color and Ive been able to weld much better after using it in class. The auto-darkening settings are all great as is the Grind Mode switch. I do have a hard time adjusting the harness so that it fits tight and comfortably without sliding down. However, its not much of a problem and this may simply be a function of my particular noggin.

> 3 dayYou can definitely see your weld better, blue like they say, but it is not like seeing in sunlight. It has been used it for silicon bronze mig welding on a Lincoln 115v machine. Those using more industrial levels of MIG welding might see a clearer advantage, so to say. The controls work fine, but the off view could be brighter. There are some cheap helmets with better stats, but I have faith the Lincoln is going to to last and be in use for a long time. I weld better now, the helmet does not try to amputate my ears like the old one and it is clearly a quality product. All in all was a good purchase. Someday there will be a technology that offers a completely clear view of welding, but it seems that will be later down the road. Weld quality is far more dependent on skill than helmets, but it is nice to have a good helmet as well. I feels good about this purchase.

> 3 dayThis hood works great. If you use it with the regular head gear. I bought the hard hat adapter and with a hard hat on it rides too high and it rests on your nose. I bought this for construction use.

> 3 dayIm know professional welders use more sophisticated helmets but for me, I weld when repair is needed around the ranch and this helmet allows clear view, its light and easy to adjust all settings Glad I purchased it!

> 3 dayWhat more can I say about this helmet. It’s a Lincoln and this is what my son uses in tech school and he really likes it so that’s why I bought this one. Works perfect as it should, the Lincoln name stands on its own.
