> 3 dayHas a bit of an odor, like paint for your walls. But works for paper crafting needs. Good buy.

Greater than one weekWhat can I say? It is Gesso. I purchased this product so I can mix up my own edge coat colors for leather. This is a high-quality products and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Greater than one weekCreates nice texture when painting trees (in oil). A little challenging to apply. used crisscross strokes, but still had some brush strokes. This is nice gesso -- thick enough for good coverage. Allows oil paint on top to stay bright - doesnt soak into the board/canvas. This nice white ground really lets the beautiful color of your oil paint show. Was pleased at how much difference two coats of this on top of already pre-gessoed canvas made.

> 3 dayAmazing! You will laugh - Ive used this gesso for 10 years in painting and scrapbooking. Recently I had a 20+ year old faded metal front door needing paint. I sanded it, wiped down, & painted with top-rated paint for metal. The top-rated paint, a protective enamel, didnt cover to my shock! Back to the hardware store, they sold me clean metal primer. I re-sanded down the door & applied the clean metal primer, which seemed kinda watery to me. It was OK but we could STILL see streaks and old paint underneath. Frustrated now, being an artist at heart, not a housepainter, desperate, I grabbed my go-to Gesso & a foam brush. All I can say is Ta-Da!!! It covered the clean metal primer perfectly solidly. Dried in an hour. Next morning I re-painted the whole door with the protective enamel paint and it covered beautifully looks fantastic. BTW, it was a 4 oz. bottle of Liquitex and I didnt even use half the bottle.
