Very sturdy fit Dutch oven very well

Fit my deep 12” Dutch oven

Fit my camp dutch oven perfectly. Put an old pizza pan in the bottom of the bag to ensure feet on the dutch oven wouldnt wear through the fabric.

Nicely allows a 12” to nest inside of the 14”. Use the 14” lid at the bottom, under the kegs of the oven to stabilize the bag. Place some towels under the legs so as to minimize scratching. Then put another towel inside the 14”, nesting the 12” inside. Place towel between lid and oven of the 12” to allow airflow. Leave the zipper open an inch to allow airflow as well. Eat you Wheaties to lift the pair, but it works perfectly.

I like how this holds the dutch ovens and look forward to using them with my tower. I would like to see two improvements however. First, the lid needs a separate compartment (preferably with the handle down into the dutch oven). Second, the bottom of the bag needs a hard surface for the feet to sit on, it is apparent the feet will eventually wear a hole in the bottom.

If you have the iconic BSA dutch oven, it will fit perfectly into this carrier. There is even a little extra space for leather gloves or other such small/flat things. The one concert I have is the legs of the Dutch over picking through the bottom of the carrier. I cut out a piece of cardboard and places it in the bottom. It has a few puncture marks but nothing that has gone all the way through to the inside bottom of the carrier. Id recommend a sacrificial bottom plate like this cardboard disk for the long term protection when using a camp dutch oven that has legs.
