When my G700s started to randomly disconnect, I thought it was something with it being wireless, but when it continued that while plugged in, I knew I had to replace it. Battery life had always been an issue for me, but nothing beats a wireless mouse, so for a while, I got my on a standard M310, it was fine, but it lacked the comforts of the multiple buttons (which I actually use inside and outside of games) as well as easily tuning the DPI on the fly. So I took a look around the market, I figured I would have to go back to a wired gaming mouse until I came across PowerPlay. Wireless changing while in use? Sign me up! Now I havent bought the mouse pad yet, but with the current life I am getting out of my mouse, Im wondering if I will even need to. This mouse is better than my old mouse in every way, its so light it almost made me wonder if they had added some helium into it to make it lighter. Its battery life goes on for multiple days and all while having an RBG led on top of it. I dont know how Logitech pulled this off. I will update this (or just review the Powerplay system on that purchase) if I decide to purchase the powerplay, but honestly, I expect this mouse to last me for years. The only issue (though not for me) is if you have large hands, it might be on the small side, but its almost perfect sized for me if I rest my palm further back so Im fine with it.

Disclaimer: I had the wired G502 for 3 years before I decided I was sick of wires, but that should tell you I already knew going in this was the mouse I wanted to take with me to grave and have zero experience with other gaming mouse. Also, I use this with a Macbook Pro. EDIT: Switched my rating down from 5 to 4 stars because G Hub is not, in fact, as marvelous as I thought. Ive been encountering a strange issue on my Macbook Pro Mid-2012 model running Catalina, connected to an external monitor. If my macbook goes to sleep with the USB and the monitor plugged in, G Hub refuses to recognize my device when I wake the laptop. I can left and right click, but the programmable buttons revert to their defaults temporarily. The issue is resolved if I unplug either the mouse or the monitor before the laptop sleeps, but for a $150 mouse I expect nothing short of perfection, and this is a little annoying. EDIT 2: I have managed to consistently avoid the issue mentioned above by turning the mouse off before my laptop goes to sleep. I would rather I not have to but it is an excellent product in every other regard so like whatever at this point. Also, the battery on this thing is ridiculous Ive been using it for 4 days and it just dropped 16%. Im honestly glad I didnt get the powerplay mousepad Im unlikely to find it necessary at this rate. Good work Logitech! Edit 3: Apparently the G Hub issue is a lot more common than I thought smh Pros • Zero noticeable latency relative to the wired counterpart. Absolutely none its mind-blowing how good these are • Very ergonomic, I use it for hours on end without fatigue • More shortcuts through the programmable buttons + multiple profiles than youll know what to do with. Its nice to know I have always have the option of switching out a CMD+S with a mouse click if I wanted to, although I probably never will. • Excellent battery life, I could have done with 24 hours too since I charge everything else everyday anyway lol but the rated 48-60 is ridiculous and much appreciated. • The packaging is superb, I honestly felt like they put effort into designing it and making sure the customer feels special while opening it. Almost like an Apple product. • The plug n play nature is fantastic. I plugged the USB receiver in and bam, mouse works! No need to ever open G Hub if all you want to do is left click and right click (although if youre spending $150 on a mouse I should hope you intend to do more than that). The DPI out of the box was quite slow for my taste but all it takes is a couple of clicks to fix it. • I love G Hub, there seems to be a fair amount of hate for it in the community but the UI is fantastic (the UX is more of a con, listed below) and the number of options is mind-blowing. I love personalization, and I love being able to make the mouse completely my own, tailored to my work/gaming needs. I use it more for work funnily enough, it is fantastic from a productivity standpoint. • There is an option to add weights if you think its too light, once again love the configurability. • Powerplay compatibility means if I want to shell out another $100 (and sadly I likely will) then I can use the mouse forever without having to ever charge it. Its a definite luxury not a necessity, so I appreciate them giving us the option. Cons • Only for right-handed, they dont make a left-handed version • I managed to chip it a little on the inside while trying to remove the cover, it should be slightly more resistant • I dont like having to read the manual for G Hub, I prefer that such software be intuitive enough a layman could figure it out. Im a software engineer and still took a while to figure out how to use multiple profiles while not in onboard mode • The G4 button is ridiculously uncomfortable to get to, Im not even sure why its there except to boost the number of programmable buttons lol. I would have preferred a button on the right I could push with my pinky. • The elephant in the room, I could probably have gotten similar performance out of a $50 mouse nowadays so $150 is pricey for sure, but for the plethora of button shortcuts available and the sheer joy of knowing it is absolutely perfect in every way is perhaps worth it. • The G logo is hidden by the hand most of the times so I would have preferred there to be RGB effects elsewhere on the mouse as well, but eh. • The stepwise scroll wheel feels really wonky to me, I always use infinite. Perhaps because Im on a Macbook idk • Its only available in black, which is not a deal breaker obviously since it delivers in most other ways but continuing the trend of configurability I would have liked to see some color options, perhaps even engravings on request. I dont ever intend to sell it to another soul, so why the heck not :D

Overall I do not like the mouse. But it is the only decent mouse I can use. The latencyaccuracyaim is excellent. However, the mouse feels extremely cheap like a fisherprice toy. The clicking is very, very hollowcheap feeling. The main left and right buttons do not really have much spring action; so i could see how in a few years time, they wont spring back fast enough to your liking. The infinite scroll wheel is ok, except the fact that there is a hardware switch in a very unergonimical place. This g502 is better than the mx master by every measure. The mx master is trashshaped like a brick. So if you are torn between the two, get this g502. The ghub software is bloated, hard to use and dispite all the rgb and feature i am unable to configure simple things like volumemedia controls. On previous logitech mice, its a press and hold to reduce or increase volume. On here, its a click, click, click + 9 times to move the volume. Overall im unimpressed. Especially for the price. If I were to ignore price differences, I would say that this is a 3.5 star product at most. With the bloated 120 price tag, its a 2 star product. Logitech has gone 10 years backwards in design. I am coming from an ancient line of MX Revolutions, which are the best designed mouse ever. However they are pushing 13-15 years of use. And the bt signals are now delayedunresponsive because of saturated wifi signals in my area. They are unfortunately unusable. Logitech should re-release the mx revolution with some MINOR upgrades. I would be happy to pay 300 dollars for an upgraded MX Revolution (with lightspeedsmart channel switchingetter wireless). Than to pay 120 for this G502. People have no idea what they are missing, when they give a g502 5 stars. They are ignorant of what could be made if logitech actually stuck to the same design, but merely improved upon it. I may reluctantly keep the g502 because I cannot find a reasonably priced wireless mouse with infinite scroll, programmable buttons, and not shaped like a brick. So this is the best you can get at the moment... which isnt saying a whole lot.

Excellent mouse so far. Use it for gaming mainly and it replaced an old wired Logitech gaming mouse Id had for many years. Only reason I changed from my old mouse was to go wireless so it looks cleaner on my desk. So I bought this mouse and the G915 keyboard. Love how they easily sync with each other. So far the battery life seems to be really great.

Works as expected, my one annoyance perhaps is when not in use for 15 minutes or so, the sensitivity jumps up to the limit! But goes back to what it was set at in seconds.

Ive been using this mouse for years. Finally picked up the wireless version while it was on sale and it was a steal! Worth every penny. I hot keyed G8 & G7 Keys directly next to left click to lob my grenades in Call Of Duty DMZ. So much faster and they hit almost every single time. Definitely recommend this product. Logitech got it right on this one.

Ive been a loyal Logitech buyer since mx518, but I cant anymore. This is now the 4th Logi mouse Ive had with bad switches within 2 years, and now the sensor is going bad. It has been about 1 year of use on this one. Im not RMAing these anymore, Id just rather purchase something that is reliable. There are some baffling quality choices theyve made on these. Not only in the switches that seem to have an abhorrent fail rate, but in just the quality. I realize now that Ive gotten an equivalent replacement from another brand how much actual garbage is here. The feet are baffling. they are the thickness and flexibility of electric tape. I use a hard mat and they started folding over within months. The one around the sensor has a gap. since this is also recessed a bit (not the case on the new different-brand mouse) its like its begging to collect the most garbage possible. Which made the initial sensor issues so frustrating to figure out until it got overt. I couldnt tell if a random hair or something just got in there. It also makes an audible loose shake when you move it quickly right out of the box. That just feels and sounds bad. The switches all have a squishy actuation to them that feel imprecise. I have large hands, so even though the size feels ok, the placement of the dpi switches are impossible to not smash mid-match at key times. mileage may vary there. I had a lot of people recommend the 502 after the other high-end logi models I had already replaced. So the seem popular. But this was my last try with Logitech. I dont know how you charge this much for hardware like this. Also of mention: the software, G-hub, though it looked fine, was functionally kind of a nightmare. and especially with other Logi peripherals. before replacing this, support had put forth that maybe closing the mouses own software while running games would stop the sensor issue. that was actually the exact point where I just laughed, pulled up an amazon tab and bought a different brand. and so far, that was a fantastic decision.

I got this mouse to replace my g602, and don’t regret it. Ergonomics and Feel: I have large hands, and this mouse fits very well in my hand. It is slightly larger than the g602, so may be a bit too large for someone with smaller hands. The plastic has a quality feel, and the textured rubber on the sides adds grip and a pleasant feel. I like the thumb rest on the side, though some may not. The mouse moves very smoothly. One reviewer mentioned the texturing on the bottom being issue, but I have not experienced this at all. Overall: this mouse is very comfortable. Switches and Buttons: The L & R mouse buttons are nice and clicky, but not obnoxiously loud. The mouse wheel can switch between free spinning and notched modes, which is great. However, the wheel itself feels a bit loose. The clicks on the wheel (middle, left, and right) all feel nice and clicky. There DPI buttons also feel nice, as does the top button which displays battery level via the RGB lights. The side buttons, however, feel a little mushy. Not terribly mushy, but mushier than I would like. All of the buttons are re-mappable via the G-Hub software, which I’ll discuss further down. Overall: I like the feel of the switches, though the side buttons could be clickier. Additional Features: The mouse is rechargeable, which can be a pro or a con. I like being able to swap out batteries (I have rechargeable ones anyway), but the lack of something like AA means the mouse is a bit lighter. The included charging cable is braided and feels quality, however, which is a nice plus. Battery life on this is just ok. It needs to be recharged about every 5 days, which is acceptable, but not exceptional. On the weight, this mouse allows you to swap out weights in the mouse to adjust the feel. I really like this feature, and the covers over the weights are magnetic and thus easily accessible. The mouse features adjustable DPI via two buttons up top, which is a huge plus in my book. The DPI settings can also be adjusted via G-Hub, and you can even set how much each button press increases or decreases DPI. The mouse has minimal RGB, which is a plus for me. I do like that the RGB can display battery level as well. The sensor on this mouse is also fantastic. There’s no noticeable lag, and the mouse responds very smoothly. Overall: This mouse comes with some really great features, though it being rechargeable could be seen as a pro or a con depending on your situation. Software: A lot of people really hate G-Hub, but I’ve not had any issues with it. Perhaps it used to be buggier and more problematic before, but it works great for me now. It’s easy to adjust RGB settings, set up macros, bind buttons, and manage your mouse. The mouse also has onboard memory, so if you really want to you can set up the mouse with the software and then uninstall it. I personally don’t mind G-Hub though. It’s got a clean UI and is easy to use. It does what it needs to. I also like that you can set different profiles for the mouse with it (e.g. game specific bindings). Is there better software out there than G-Hub? Sure. But I really don’t understand the absolute hatred for this software, as I haven’t personally experienced it being that bad.

I was recommended this mouse by a friend who took the time to research office equipment and all I can say this is exactly what I was looking for. Works well with both video games and office work as you can adjust the speed of the cursor whenever you want. It also adds some life to my office setup since it has LED lights that change color every second! I wouldnt worry about battery life either because the mouse automatically turns off after a couple of minutes of not being used. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a mouse that can be used for both work and gaming.
