This camera bag is very strangely designed as it loads from the REAR, so you have to lay it on its FACE to load or unload your gear, and the backpack straps get in the way whenever you try to open it. This would certainly create a lot of wear-and-tear on the face of the bag. Not sure why it was designed this way, but maybe there was a reason?

Excelente calidad, muy flexible en su interior. Lo único que podría faltar es soporte para el trípode. Muy recomendable.

Very happy with this purchase. Should have bought it earlier. Rugged, well made, and use it primarily with microphone/audio gear but has enough space to for photography or video equipment too.

Perfect size for my camera gear, but too early to say anything about the quality. But my other Lowpro bags are really good.

A lot of thought went into this classic backpack. What I like most is that it is designed to accommodate a lot of photo gear that can be carried on to an airplane instead of being checked and mishandled. Plus, even though it can be packed with camera bodies and heavy lenses to the point that it is a chore to pick up, once it is on your back, the weight is distributed perfectly and I find myself never getting fatigued lugging it around. The hard shell aspect of most of the pack gives you peace of mind. The chest clip keeps the straps from slipping off your shoulder (a constant frustration with other packs). I just love the ability to attach my tripod so I have an extra free hand. Here is how I would improve it: What I miss that other backpacks have had is a small, outside accessible pocket for things I use a lot like batteries, memory cards, keys. The two small pockets on the upper sides are meant for this but they are not designed with quite enough volume. You can slip a credit card in there but not a whole lot more. I just do not want to open up the whole back of the pack just to get to some batteries. This biggest flaw I found was the pocket that holds your laptop. I spent $2.4K on a high end 4K laptop that was small enough to fit in the advertised space of this pack. The third time I used it I decided to put two items in this space (my new laptop had not arrived yet). 1: a thin plastic case with some tiny ND filters for a drone and a very thin drone landing pad. These items were much smaller than my new laptop would be and the third time I used the pack the zipper failed. It broke with very little use. I wrote the seller and never heard back. I didnt want a new backpack, I didnt want a refund or discount, I wanted a solution. I eventually brought it to a professional luggage repair shop where they replaced the zipper slider. They said that the zipper could not be replaced with a more robust one due to the cramped space. They said This is a very nice piece of luggage with very bad [internal] zippers. So, I think the next version would be improved with more robust internal zippers, after all the ones on the inside are very cheap, vinyl zippers. Field photographers need rugged equipment and are willing to pay for it so this flaw was kind of a surprise and the complete crickets I heard from the seller (Lowepro) was a disappointment.

Ive been using my trusty Tamrac Expedition camera backpack for over 10 years but wanted something that would hold a camera body with a 70-200 f/2.8 attached. I tried the Lowepro Flipside 400 AW II first but found that to be too small. The Protactic 450 AW II has enough room for my 7D Mark II with a 70-200 f/2.8 attached, my EOS R with a lens attached, and then a couple more lenses, all with their lens hoods reversed.
