> 3 dayIn the past, I have been using belt buckle-type luggage tags. Over the past few years, they have managed to become detached and vanish from checked luggage on airline flights. I needed replacements. These luggage tags were the answer. The initial (in red) stands in bright contrast to the background (in black). While no larger than a standard luggage tag, it is much more visible. The stainless steel loop is braided and very strong. It takes about 20 twists to fully tighten the screw-in clasp (it helps to follow the instructions and have the two ends laying down flat when tightening the clasp). These are just great.

Greater than one weekI purchased four of these based on good reviews and the obviously recognizable letter for identifying off a baggage carousel. Most luggage tags either fold over or have the steel band holder go through the area that holds the ID so that the ID stays inside and secure, in this case the ID card can easily slip out, I would never use this as my primary luggage tag.
