Excellent pigment load that this brand is known for. It is only marginally better than my cheaper Daler Rowney gouache though.

Love these paints use them a lot. Beautiful colors with great depth. If you want intense colors these are the best. Also work well as a lighter more watercolor like paint.

Cest un bon produit mais je pensais que cette gouache était plus dense et opaque.

Excellent middle yellow; Im also a huge fan of M. Grahams watercolor paint in the same shade. A warm yellow is also useful and common in traditional palettes, but a middle yellow is more versatile for making clean mixes. It can be cooled down with greens or warmed up with reds, and sometimes its beautiful just by itself as well. If I had to choose only one yellow, Id pick a middle yellow such as this one. Note that gouache tends to be more abrasive on brushes than regular watercolor paints, so Id advise setting aside a separate set of synthetic watercolor brushes to be abused by gouache, if it wont break the bank.

Best white gouache. This is the one to get.

For gouache paints, it is generally recommend to buy more mixing white than any other color, and I find it useful to also have a dark neutral such as Paynes Gray as well. It makes darkening colors so much easier. M. Graham consistently delivers paints with high pigment load and a creamy consistency at a great value, and I am pleased that their gouache paints are just as high-quality as their watercolor paints.

Im new to guache and have only used the white in the past for watercolors.. I was pleased with the colors. Note--the red stains. I dropped the brush on the floor and had to work to get it up. Meanwhile, got it on my finger then in my hair and had to go to lunch with pink hair. I would be careful around children with the red. Bad enough for a senior white haired old lady who kind of knows how to clean up

I love M. Graham gouache because it doesnt dry out and get crusty like every other brand. Worth the price!
