> 3 dayTHE PAINT SEEMS OKAY. MY DAUGHTER IS NOT HAPPY TRYING TO BLEND HER OWN COLORS WITH THIS PAINT. SHE WILL STAY WITH THE DALER-ROWNEY GOUACHE.

> 3 dayPurpose: I bought this to use in my watercolor paintings, specifically to paint parts of clouds. I was previously using Chinese White but that didnt really work as it is primarily a white used for mixing and I wanted to use something more opaque for the effect I was trying to achieve. I noticed that this watercolor simply cannot hold a concentrated pigment! When I first put the paint onto the page it looks extremely dense and opaque. But after I come back after 5 minutes I realized that the white has completely dissipated and melted on the page, revealing the color underneath. This happens regardless of how much water I use. I have even used this on almost dry paper and a barely damp brush to have the same bleeding effect happen. This is probably due to the consistency of the paint - it is very watery. Almost no water is needed to activate this paint. Summary: if you are trying to get an opaque white effect in your watercolor paintings, I highly do not recommend this paint.

> 3 dayAll of these M. Graham paints are excellent - - extremely rich in color and beautiful. No chalkiness like other gouache paints. Do wish Id gotten the Quin Rose because this Pyrrol ended up being awfully close to the Naphthol, just a bit more pinkish. Not the fault of the paint, just my choice.

> 3 dayThis set is a significant upgrade from reeves. The colors dry more evenly, more opaquely, and more vibrantly. This paint also rewets incredibly easily on the pallete. The paints mix well without muddying up, and have a lovely creamy consistency. Its ability to be rewetted can be dangerous when painting over other layers, but for the most part I havent had too much of a problem and it makes the paint much less frustrating, as the dried puddles of color from 10 minutes ago can just be rewet like new. This gouache is so rewettable that Im positive it could just be poured right into a pan and have no problem with opacity or creaminess. Great set, and I plan on expanding my M Graham color selection!
