> 24 hourThe very first slide I put into it got stuck. The side ejector button did not eject! I tired different kinds of slides, from old paper slides to newer plastic framed slides. It didnt seem to matter, as every 3d or 4th slide would not eject. I found that if I tilted the viewer towards me and shook it in the downward direction as I held the side eject button, sometimes the slide would eject. However, when it did not, I had to put a knife into the back slot as I pushed the side eject button to remove the slide. Viewing negatives was not a problem, as you just slide them through the side opening. I gave it three stars because when it does work, it does what it says. Nice bright 3X view. I didnt expect a lot more from this price point, but if the slides get stuck nothing else matters. Its not all that efficient either since you can only put one slide in at a time. Some models of these viewers allow for a stack of slides, or at least a tray you can lay slides on that feeds into it. One other small thing that is worth mentioning is that I wish it had a standard ubiquitous USB micro to power it. 5V USB is 5V USB!. The somewhat proprietary power cord is just one more thing to keep track off that only works on that viewer. I have a little box full of power cords that are proprietary, and its a pain to sort through to find what USB cord fits what electronic gadget. . Of course you can simply use 4 AA batteries.

> 24 hourThis slide viewer works just like the old styles, with a couple of modern improvements. First is the LED light source; it is a nice pure white light, that evenly covers the viewing area. Second is the dual power source - standard AA batteries (4) as well as a USB-A cord; I dont know if the internals are able to accommodate a modern high-power wall adapter, so you may want to stick with an older 5v 2A model for fear of frying the electronic internals (Im not brave enough to try...!). Rather than inserting and removing the slides from the top, this viewer has an eject button which drops the slide out of the bottom into a collection tray. The strip viewer works fine for flat strips, but was much more difficult with a negative roll; its almost impossible to feed a rolled strip all of the way through without external assistance. Just like with the viewers of old, the view is very dependent on the quality of the slide or film that youre viewing. But the viewer does a fine job of illuminating and clearly magnifying your media. Of course it wont reverse the colors of negatives, but at least you can view them more clearly. I do recommend this product for your consideration.

> 24 hourThis is a pretty nice slide viewer, it works well to light up and magnify your slides and film strips. Its not quite the quality I was expecting for the price, but it gets the job done. The magnification is sufficient, but I wish it offered a bit more. Its still a nice tool to have when you need to sort through old film.

> 24 hourThe MAFUEAY 35mm Slide and Film Viewer is a well-crafted device that pays homage to the classic Kodak slide viewer. This product stays true to the original design and performs exactly as expected. One notable improvement is the inclusion of LED lighting, which greatly enhances the viewing experience. The LED lighting inside the viewer provides a more accurate visual representation of the slides and negatives. Unlike other light sources that may introduce color casts, the LED illumination is calibrated to replicate daylight conditions. This ensures that you can examine slide-type negatives without compromising the color accuracy of the original image. Its important to note that in order to see a positive image that resembles a real picture from your negatives, you need to use positive slide film. This film, typically developed through the E-6 process, results in a positive image of the film itself. The MAFUEAY viewer cannot invert black and white negatives or regular color negatives to positive images. It displays the negative image as it is, with the exception of color slide positive films that are already positive. The MAFUEAY 35mm Slide and Film Viewer serves as a reliable lightbox for sorting through your negatives. Its good-quality construction ensures durability, and it is straightforward to use. Whether you are organizing your negatives for traditional darkroom printing or quickly sorting frames for scanning, this viewer proves to be a valuable tool. In summary, the MAFUEAY 35mm Slide and Film Viewer is a faithful reproduction of the beloved Kodak slide viewer. Its LED lighting system offers improved illumination for accurate viewing of slide-type negatives. It is important to understand its limitations regarding negative inversion, but as a lightbox, it excels in quality and ease of use. Whether you are engaged in traditional darkroom techniques or digitizing your film collection, this viewer will assist you in efficiently sorting and examining your negatives. Disclaimer: Please note that individual experiences may vary, and its always advisable to research and consider multiple perspectives before making a purchasing decision.

> 24 hourSecond picture is a photo of the slide in the slide machine. As you can see you see all the extra white space, and no way to adjust this so its out of the view finder. So if your slides are designed like this it wont show them nicely. But the image from the slides looks good and I couldnt complain about that.

> 24 hourThe MAFUEAY slide and film viewer is very basic but gets the job done for viewing the contents on the slides. The device itself is small, lightweight, and portable. I was able to bring it to my mothers house to view her slides and film easily and with the USB power cable (that is included) I could power it up with a portable power bank instead of finding the 4 AA batteries it needs to power on as an alternative. Functionally, it does what it says. Insert the slide or the film and you can see whats on it with a magnification of 3x without straining. This magnification is not huge so the images are not like what you would see on a regular slide projector and not photo print quality for film as you only see the negatives (the ad image is a bit deceptive). But to see old slides without the fuss of setting up a projector this is great. The buttons to power the device on and to remove the slide from the slot are straightforward but you do have to hold the device with your other hand to use the slide button as sometimes a gentle touch is not enough to remove the slide and the device will move with the force of the push (there are no pads on the bottom to keep the device in place). The insertion slot only houses one slide at a time and there is nowhere to hold the other slides so its a very manual process to insert the slide but once they are out they are stacked in a nice pile (you can stack about 10-15 slides before having to remove the stack otherwise the slides get stuck). Definitely, a good device for those with lots of slides to view and to not have to get a projector out. Ive added 2 images. One from a slide which is a decent view and then one with the film negative and the print photo next to it so you can see the view youll get.

> 24 hourThis works very well ! All through my childhood, my mom always got our fim developed in slides, and she had one of those carosel projectors that we would sit and view the family photos together… now that she’s gone, i have not been able to find one of those that works, and i have hundreds of slides from way back then I couldn’t view… now with this unit, i can sit and reminisce all the good times of my youth…. It also allows you to view the negatives in case you have some of the slides that have faded with time…

> 24 hourAfter using the slide and film viewer, I wanted to share my experience. In all honesty, it leans more towards being a slide viewer rather than a film viewer. Since it had been decades since I last looked at my film, I had forgotten what to expect. Unfortunately, when I inserted my film into the viewer, I was met with a monochromatic mess, making it quite challenging to discern the content. The lack of color representation was disappointing, as everything appeared in shades of brown. I must note that the advertising for this product may create the impression that it offers a viewing experience akin to looking at your iPhone. However, thats not the case. Instead, the viewer displays the entire slide deep inside the box, without any option to magnify the image. Its functional for viewing slides, but it falls short of the advertised convenience and clarity. Compared to using a simple white screen on a monitor, this viewer does provide a better alternative. It offers a method to view the contents of your slides with relative ease. However, its essential to manage your expectations regarding the level of detail you can observe. If youre primarily looking for a convenient way to get a general idea of whats on your slides without needing intricate details, then this viewer will serve its purpose. In conclusion, this slide and film viewer has its limitations. It excels at displaying slides, although it doesnt provide the level of magnification or color representation as advertised. If your objective is to have a simpler means of viewing your slides without requiring fine details, this viewer will meet your needs adequately.

> 24 hourThis MAFUEAY slide and film viewer is a fantastic product for any family historian. I have been entrusted with a box of negatives. I selected this to look through the negatives searching for important family moments. It is so easy to use! I placed the negative into the appropriate slot and turned on the LED light. The 3X magnifier made it incredibly easy to view every slide. I was able to go through the slides and select those that I want to keep. I included an image of a water tower as an example of how fantastic the light and magnification are. This product has saved me time and money. The 3X magnification viewing screen with the LED light allowed me to take high quality digital shots. Now I can utilize an app to make the negative into a digital image. The LED lighted viewing window is very comfortable to look into because it is ergonomically angled so you dont have to bend over a light box or use a loupe. This does it all for you in one easy lightweight product. It is also important to note that you can use batteries or the USB plug. This viewer is a really great option for those folks who are going through family memorabilia.

> 24 hourThis is such an easy way for us to view slides with so many different memories with photos that haven’t been seen in years! It’s hard to get our hands on a big projection style slide viewer and use it practically but this is just awesome! Uses a power cable that can goes with any usb plug adapter (not included) but we used it with the power pack and we’re able to pass it around and everything! Power button on the lower right side and there’s an eject button that lets the current slide fall out into a tray so you can drop another one down in it! Even photo negatives can slide through! I haven’t found my album yet but I have a ton of negatives that I can’t wait to try! 9.5/10 love this!
