> 3 dayeasy to use, great for cleaning eye glasses. It removes all of the oils and grime in the tight spots. 3 minutes and it is done. Sometimes I run it twice. Also very good for jewelry. Only downside is that it is one more appliance I must store between uses -- that said, it does a much better job than a cloth and small spray bottle of glass cleaner.

> 3 dayI purchased this for my mothers Christmas gift. I had experience using the industrial versions and can say this works 90% as well. The first item I tested was on my moms metal watch band. I had to hold the watch itself (submerging the watch can damage it or break the water tight seal). The water began to turn grey then black removing all of the oils it had collected from her skin (quite disgustingly awesome to watch). I needed to eventually replace the water with clean water and run it through again. All that was needed is a bit of dishwashing liquid and water. I prefer heating some water in the microwave (add a bit of rubbing alcohol if you like as well to help cut the oils). Remember afterwards to clean the unit. Over time it will collect salt from the water where the metal pan meets the housing. I found the lid is really just there to cut down the noise. I preferred leaving it open as it would be one less thing to clean or collect residue. Next I dropped in a few rings and necklaces (silver and gold). It worked like a charm!! Simply rinse and wipe afterwards. I suggest using a toothbrush for stubborn areas such as intricate rings or areas where there is excessive buildup of grime. Avoid using on pearls. Be aware that jewelry with stone/diamond settings should be secure as this could cause them to loosen and fall out. So you want to check to make sure the jewels are still attached before dumping the water down your sink. This is not for fake/laminated/painted costume jewelry as it will make the coating come off. I used it on some glasses. You will be amazed how much grime they collect (about as much as the watch band). We use these in the optical business. They will not harm your lens coating. Your nose bad will become much cleaner as well…but if they are too green then have them replaced at an optical shop. I can tell you from experience that with glossy plastic frames that it can peel the glossy coating leaving places with a matte finish. There was one especially bad silver rope. It was more tarnished than dirty. Sure, this cleaned it. Just be aware that it isn’t designed to remove tarnish (you will need to polish tarnish by hand with a special cleaner & cloth after cleaning with this machine to remove tarnish). So needless to say the silver rope became clean but was still essentially black afterwards (yes it was genuine silver). I personally find it a joy watching items that you think couldn’t possibly be that full of grime create this cloud of nastiness. It makes me want to add fresh warm water and dawn and find what else to clean. My cell phone case? Sure! My grandpa’s nasty Case pocket knife? No problem!! Word of warning (again from experience)…it’s not going to harm you putting your fingers inside briefly. But don’t do for long to feel the tickle. It will pull out all of the natural oils from your skin causing extreme dryness and will make your nails brittle & crack. It can even rupture the capillaries in your finger tips making them red and bruised. *The unit is much smaller then appears in the photo. The opening is about the length of a pair of eyeglasses*

Greater than one weekThe Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner does an awesome job of making your jewelry sparkling clean. Rings, watches, chains, all look brand new. It is hard to believe all of the gunk that came off of our jewelry. It also does a great job of cleaning sunglasses. If you shave with a DE razor, it will clean and restore it to NEW condition.
