> 3 dayThis is an amazing product. My only complaint is that the heat gun claw isnt sold separately. I would really like to have a second one. The quality is outstanding!

> 3 daySturdy construction, heavy base plate and six points to hold a circuit board and four goose-neck clamps. Very happy with the purchase *particularly since the price went up after I purchased mine*

> 3 dayI am surprised with the level of quality of this set. There are a lot of little pieces, but everything screws in perfectly and arms stay firm. The magnets are really strong and the the alligator jaws have really good tension. I bought this for my shop and everybody loves it! We used to have to solder with 3 or more arms, but with this, it should improve our work efficiency.

> 3 dayI cant believe Ive been using my old paperweight with arms helping hands this long. This one has made my little home DIY projects so much easier with the ability to stabilize pcbs without using any of the clamps. I tried all of my tools on it. I found a solution for everything that made its use more convenient while still leaving plenty of room for my project. My new favorite tool.

> 3 dayTL/DR: Buy this set. Great value. Works great. I bought my set of helping hands from the Amazon warehouse, and there were two minor scratches. I expected them, they dont affect anything, and someone was nice enough to color them in with a matching black pen. In operation, the base is stable, the arms move where you want, and stay there. The clips are better than the average ones Ive seen, and do the job. More precise tips, and plasti-dipped alligator clips vice the sleeved ones would be nice...but thats nit-picking. This set has already worked great for replacing the lipo batteries on some Anki Overdrive cars. The small pillars are the icing on this cake. Extremely stable (magnets dont move), six of them, and once I cleaned them up (3 of the brass tops needed wrench removal and lubrication to move freely) they are the best part of the set. They hold the board rock steady. When Ive messed up electrical repair work, it has been due to trying perform tasks that require more hands than I possess. That isnt an issue anymore with this set. Random helpful hint for larger projects that requires more space and/or ridiculous stability. Buy a cheap set of iron brake rotors. I bought some cheap ones for $12, and those provide two satellite platforms for either side of the plate that comes with this set. The magnetic pillars and flex arms will stick to the rotors, too (if you buy the iron ones...aluminum rotors and some ceramic ones...not so much). At 14lbs each, the ones I bought arent moving.

> 3 dayPurchased for soldering. Very handy to get everything just right and then apply heat. Or to fix the soldering iron in place for a slow heating of the wire and just poking the solder at the joint until it sucks it up. But I find myself breaking it out for many tasks where youd have to hold something in place for long periods. When not in use, the super strong magnets can hold things elsewhere. Holding instruction sheets or recipe cards or notes on a fridge, range hood, or working on the car for example.

Greater than one weekI bought this to use as a ground plane for a 2m/70cm magnetic mount antenna, and use the arms and other accessories it came with on my quad hands. This base provides a solid attachment for the antenna and 5 watts through the antenna from my base (mobile) is loud and clear to the local repeater. Until I can get a proper antenna installed in my attic, this setup will do nicely.
