I had siding put up on my home. The installers did a fair job of installation generally, but some of the top pieces of siding slipped down. I did some research and found out about this tool and what it does. I should not have to, but I have had to repair pieces with this tool to make them stay up. It did what it (and my installers) were suppose to do.

Broke down and finally got one of these for small pieces of siding that were popping out. Works great with finish strip. Better price the big local place.

Although I have not used it as much as I thought I would, the tool worked as intended and was easy to use. I probably wouldn’t buy one again simply because I really have had no use for it and I’m over halfway through with my project.

Simple tool that worked as it should. I used this when replacing siding that had blown off in a storm, probably because the pro installer never put locking tabs in when the siding was originally installed. One hint for users; if the temperature is low (near freezing) the siding will be brittle and youll end up with the tabs snapping off leaving an oblong hole. Warm up the vinyl a bit and the tool works fine.

If you are a do-it-your-selfer, this tool will get the job done. There is no need to buy the more expensive version. All you are doing is punching holes in vinyl, and thats what it does. I suppose the only improvement to this tool would be somthing to hold it together for storage (so that it not always in an open position). But a rubber band works fine for that too.

This lightweight snap lock punch works great on vinyl and light gauge metal. The tabs it creates do a good job of locking into finish/utility trim. The plastic grips are comfortable in the hand, and the punch provides good leverage for creating tabs in vinyl and metal coil material. Im very pleased with their performance.

These are exactly what I expected. They work as they should. The quality made value is good. I think they are over priced but if you need them price don’t matter.
