These are great pencils. They offer exceptional range and variance and the feel and grip are nice. I bought them for my daughter (11) who is experimenting with physical vs digital illustration. She has been very satisfied with these and loves the shading gradations and official feel of the tin container. There are higher grade professional pencils out there, of course, but these are good for the money.

Since Im new to drawing and didnt know which to pick, I purchased 5 sets of inexpensive drawing pencils from amazon and tested them out. These offered an extensive range of shades and were the ones that moved most easily on the paper and filled in nicely. Very pleased.

Great product for my 11-year-old who is really into art. I’m an art teacher and I can say it is a nice product... But I took a star off because I was disappointed in the shipping. So disappointed I would not purchase this exact item again from Amazon. While the package came on time it wasn’t boxed in anything!!!!! They put the shipping label right on the Outside cardboard of the pencil box. Since this is just a small sliding box it also means that if at any time in transit the inner sleeve had slid out the pencils would have fallen out. There wasn’t even a small piece of tape on either end to keep the slide portion in while shipping. Plus now my daughter has a huge shipping label that covers one whole side of the pencils carrying case. If I purchased this brand for a store however they a fine pencils.

These pencils I think are pretty good quality for a hobbyist or serious student. Not sure if they really are professional grade. The round pencils roll easily so hold them in your hand while you use them. If you are looking for a true black lead, go for ink or charcoal. Have fun drawing!
