As others have said, no where near 18 inches. Realistically 15 1/2 at best and narrower at the top. Pay attention to the reviews, its too small and being returned.

Quality carry-on for all gear used while in flight

I love the bag, but they sent me a blue bag.. not a the pink one I ordered. However, this is a great bag for a carry on. It has several compartments and fits perfectly under the plane seat. I do wish I wouldve gotten the correct color though.

I got this to take as my under-the-seat carry on item on a trip to Italy and France. I traveled on American Airlines and AirFrance and this bag always for under the seat. I was able to pack a good amount to clothes in it (I don’t travel light!) and it has a Velcro strap on the back that secured it to a roller luggage bag. I am so happy I got this carry-on bag. It worked exactly as I’d hoped.

Little smaller than expected but great for weekend get away or as a carry on extra bag

Zipper broke 1 year after having it. Im a Flight Attendant, and Ive been carrying this bag around for a whole year with a broken zipper, thinking Ill figure out a way to get it fixed. But recently, Im told it cannot be fixed.

This is the third bag I have bought. This small bags holds more than a much larger carryon!
