I recently purchased a new computer which has Windows Defender on it. It kept suggesting that I should install a McAfee anti virus system. I searched on the internet to inform myself to whether I should if I had Defender installed. It kept telling I didnt need to so I ignored the recommendation. The last time the computer told me that it highly recommended that i should. I became scared so I did because I did not want to take any chances on the security of my brand new computer. It was easy to install. It prompted me asking whether i wanted to download it onto any other devices which I did. I downloaded it onto my smart phone and that was incredibly easy to do also. Now everything I needed security on is protected. That is an incredible piece of mind. Too many evil people out there trying to steal as much information as possible. Of course I do not have millions to dollars to protect but what little I have I would like to keep. I feel much safer now that I made this purchase.

Very glad I choose to try McFee out I was pre-loaded on my HP laptop it has windows 10 I continued with membership for another year very happy with McAFee Live package.

I purchased McAfee internet security from Amazon and installed it. however, the new expiry date on my account have not appeared. I communicated with both Mc afee and Amazon requesting the problem to be rectified, but without success.

I used McAfee only because it came free on my computer. I renewed at the low bait and switch pricing. The next year I noticed the price was 5x higher, which is also when I discovered I had a second account under the same email address getting charged for the exact same service. Surely a large company would be able to resolve a dispute like that quickly. Nope, McAfee doesnt give refunds for something like that. I decided to cancel all services, even though I had another 10 more months of service prepaid. I didnt receive any refund for that either. As for the product itself, its full of annoying and unwanted popups (all trying to convince you to use Yahoo as your primary search engine, not related to any actual security issue), it never once told me about a virus threat in 2 years of use, it didnt catch or deal with any trackers or cookies, and it slowed my computers down to a crawl. There is nothing redeeming about this product or company. Run for the hills, even if its free.

The item was already out of the box...Just the card and the code. I tried to installed, and and it stopped on the first step, with eeror message to contact support. Im IT specialist, so thia is just basic installation. I have been installing McAfee for years. Anyway I called the number, and foreigner picked up with no intro, but hello. Im Foreigner too, so dont get me wrong. I didnt trust the customer service. Amazon have to verify some of these businesses using its front store. I am returning it.

There is a reason why there are so many videos teaching you how to uninstall McAfee. Report: McAfee Software Caused the Problem 2/11/2021 Got System Back (1 day after McAfee trial ended) Isnt that convenient. The worst decision I ever made was purchasing anything from McAfee. I cant imagine anything good coming of it. Wait I can. I increased my curse word vocabulary after talking to their customer service reps. I had an over whelming feeling that a colonoscopy would be a dream come true compared to the nightmare their software caused my computer and my business. I think I lost weight during the stint without my system or it could have been some of my hair. Better Business Bureau has a rating of 1.5 out of 5 stars because out of the 27 reviews. 26 reviews are 1 star. Only one person changed their review to 5 stars because they were finally given a refund.
