The original Linear remote didnt come with the house, we had a 3rd party one (Chamberlain), and it only worked from right by the door, waving the remote out of the car window. I bought this official OEM one thinking it would work better, and it does - my guess is the TWO batteries allow it to send a stronger signal with twice the voltage. Our other garage door opener is a Lift-Master, and it works from a block away. The Linear one is older, and its receiver may just be flagging - I had tried lengthening its antenna and was on the verge of wiring one from outside the steel doors, but again, I think the two batteries suggest something.

I made sure I purchased the correct model. It works perfectly for my garage door. It does not work for my security gate. Otherwise, happy with the purchase.

Looses connection does not have a far range

I’ve had to Buy 2 of these. Both work great. Literally takes 10 seconds to program just press the Learn button on the actual garage opener and hold the remote to it for a couple seconds. That’s it I happen to have a Linnear garage opener so not sure if it works with others.
