Medium Berkey Base Stainless Steel Stand Raises Your Big Berkey Water Filter System 6 Above Countertop for Easier Dispensing of Filtered Water

The Big Berkey water purification system works entirely by gravity. Gravity fills the purified water container, and gravity empties it via a spigot at the bottom of the reservoir of purified water. The problem is that, in order to fill a standard-sized drinking glass, the Big Berkey must either be placed at the edge of a shelf or countertop, or it must placed on a stand. This stainless steel stand neatly solves this problem. We were afraid that, once on the stand, the Berkey might be top heavy and unstable. However, this is definitely not the case. Our large drinking glasses can easily be filled with purified water, and the Berkey seems just as stable as it was when it was sitting directly on the countertop.

We returned ours. Honestly, this thing was flimsy. Not sturdy enough. Ended up buying an alternative stand for our burkey.

Go ahead! Give your Berkey a leg up, er, four legs up! Stable stainless steel stand allows you to put a 6 and 3/4 inch tall pitcher under the spigot. The stand will accommodate a diameter up to 9 and 1/2 inches. This is a little pricey but hey, that cardboard box is bound to get soggy and collapse eventually! Amazon recommends I mention “flavor” so ... it is better than aluminum foil but not as good a licking a freshly opened beer can.

It is a stand for your Berkey. Lets you get a cup under the spigot if it is on a counter or table top rather than hanging off an edge. I really suggest it if you are planning for your Berkey to overhand a sink, since this keeps the spigot further from the sinks splash zone. Trust me, if your Berk is next to your sick you will see from the splashes water spotting the stainless that you do throw up a good deal of water (often distasteful stuff floating in a used dish).

We bought a big Berkey and I hesitated in purchasing this stand. I am glad I did as it keeps the whole system off of the counter and can easily be moved around if needed. Buy it, you won’t regret it.

Highest quality as I expected. This size was one inch bigger than I needed for my Aqua Pure gravity water filter tank but this one inch wider footprint also makes it more stable (non-tippable). When I fill my tank to the top and drop onto the lower tank, nothing wiggles or moves. Very stable with the pvc coated feet. A tall kitchen glass fits under it. Buy it!
