Melissa & Doug Construction Vehicles Wooden Chunky Puzzle (6 pcs)

We have several Melissa and Doug chunky puzzles that my son loves, so we ordered this one to add to the collection. Sadly, this particular puzzle (and the dinosaur one) are not the same quality as other puzzles in the series. The older chunky puzzles have an image painted on each piece. Even the back and sides of each piece are painted in primary colors. The newer chunky puzzles are pressed wood cut outs with raw (and somewhat rough) edges and backsides with decals stuck on the front. My son is still teething and sticks everything in his mouth. Within five minutes of opening this puzzle the decals are already coming off. For a product that is supposedly hand made, it is shoddy. Be warned, this is not like the older version of this puzzle!

My 2 1/2 old grandson lone this puzzle. We spent an hour playing with it. He did the puzzle multiple times. Stacked the vehicles. I named each on and stood them in a row.

I am a super-fan of all these wooden chunky puzzles. My daughter loves them! They are fun to play as a puzzle and then also fun to play pretend cars! I try to stay away from the wooden puzzles with pegs though, they seem like a middle of the night foot injury waiting to happen! These dont have pegs sticking out of them, so they are perfect!

We have 4 or 5 puzzles like this and my kids love them. The baby will carry around the pieces and play with them for quite a while. Excellent quality.

Enjoy listening to my grandson name all the different types of trucks as he plays with the pieces. Made wall and color is bright. Also having the small button allows for easy play.

My 20 month old son who loves all things that have wheels really loves this puzzle. He plays with them different ways. He uses them as a puzzle & like little trucks since they stand up.

My 24 month old boy is a huge fan of trucks and loves these. They are the perfect size for his hands and the colors are bright and vibrant. Im happy with this purchase. It has helped teaching him colors and with his hand/motor coordination skills.

My 2 year old Grandson loves this puzzle. And he caught on quickly.

I was looking for a wooden puzzle for my little grandsons birthday present and thought Id order a Melissa & Doug puzzle after reading mostly postive reviews about them. Id picked several different ones as favorites and asked my husband to help me make the final selection. Since hes a construction superintendent, this was the natural choice for him. When this came, it was so bright and colorful. I like the fact that the pieces are large and can actually be played with away from the board. I cant attest to how it will hold up, but from the package it seems well-made. The thick pieces will be easy for little fingers to pick up. Im sure hes going to love it when I give it to him.
